We loved this friendly hotel, its in a great location for exploring Rome, the staff were lovely and the rooms were good too. the roof terrace had fantastic views and you are away from the hustle and bustle of the square below.

We booked a Superior Double room that overlooked the Pantheon. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by reception and told that they had upgraded our room to Senior Suite on the 4th Floor. It was a great surprise get the upgrade to this spacious and beautiful room. The view of the Pantheon was amazing. Bathroom was very nice and roomy. The hotel provided us a bottle of wine to help us celebrate our anniversary. The room included a mini fridge which was very useful in order to keep some drinks cold, etc. Even thought the room was right on the piazza.... the noise was not that bad. When you closed the windows and shutters it really helped. The only night the noise was even an issue at all was a Sat night.... we could here music in the piazza but it was kind of nice. I was very impressed with the customer service of this hotel. We stayed at 6 hotels over 2-3 weeks in Italy and I really think the customer service at this location was the very best. When you go out.... they ask that you drop your keys off at the front desk for security purposes. When we would return they would greet us by name and automatically know our room number to give us our keys. It was amazing how quick they picked this up considering we were only there 3 nights. Breakfast was good. It wasn't the best that I have ever had but it had a pretty good selection. There was cakes, pastries, meat and cheese tray, crackers, breads, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. I really liked the croissants. They were delicious. Cappuccino was also very good here. The rooftop bar and terrace was a nice addition. The hours were only from 4-8pm but you could still use the terrance on your own at other times. We had drinks up there 1 evening. It was nice but the pigeons were a bit annoying. Not as relaxing as I would have hoped but it isn't the hotels fault.... the pigeons are all over and hard to discourage. As for location... this hotel is within easy walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Spanish Steps. We did take taxi just because we were needing faster commute to Vatican and Borghese Galleria. The train station to the hotel is a little bit of trek when you have luggage. We managed it on the way there but did take Taxi on the way back. Its def. possible but we were very hot and tired of our luggage by the time we made it to the hotel. We never tried busses but that might be a possibility too. We would certainly stay here again if or when we are back in Rome. I though the customer service and location was top notch!

Room Tip: If you want view.... get room with view of Pantheon. If you prefer quiet over the view then ask for...

Everything was excellent as detailed in other reviews. We only had one day, so location, location, location! The roof deck bartender even served us after closing time. The piazza is noisy and somewhat if a circus but it is a tourist area after all and we thought it was entertaining- everything from a rock concert to a magician to opera.
Nothing beats having the amazing Pantheon across the street and other attractions a short walk away

We didn't have much time so we ate at nearby tourist trap restaurants- I'm sure if you have more time you can do better

The only downside - if there is one- is that everyone in the hotel seems to be American - probably from reading these reviews.

Room Tip: Decide if you want the view or quiet

We just returned from a delightful stay at this absolutely charming hotel located just across the square from the Pantheon. The rooms were lovely, breakfast was excellent and the staff are outstanding. The rooftop bar was wonderful; the perfect place to have a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing. The views from the rooftop were incredible. I want to visit Rome again simply to stay at this hotel.

Loving my stay here. Travelling with my teenage son to a city I had not visited before I really hoped for a hotel with a location where we could get to most places by foot, that was comfortable and friendly. The Albergo del Senato has more than fitted that bill. Our twin room overlooks the Pantheon and lively square so we can people watch if we want yet the shutters and windows block any noise when necessary. Shower is hot, towels are fluffy and both are much appreciated after a 10 hour day of sightseeing in the Italian sun.
All hotel staff are very helpful and seem to go the extra mile.
I hope I will be able to visit a few more times .....and of course Rome too!

It's difficult to imagine a better location in Rome -- it's right across from the Pantheon, and some of the rooms, as well as the roof-top bar, look directly out onto the Pantheon and the plaza in front of it. The rooms are comfortable, spotless and well decorated. I requested a quiet room in the back, and was given exactly that (although several people have told me that the front rooms are quiet, too, because of the double-glazed windows). The desk staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful; indeed, every member of the staff I came across was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast, which is included, is good -- not an enormous amount of choice, but including eggs & bacon for those who need that, and a lot of fruit, yogurt, cakes, etc. No complaints whatsoever -- I will stay there whenever I am in Rome.

Amazing Rome hotel with an incredible staff, next door to the Pantheon. The experience here is beyond the star rating of this hotel. As typical for Rome and Europe, rooms are small, but it's like we went to Rome to hang out in our hotel room. The rooms were very nice, well kept. The hotel staff members were so friendly and accommodating, and it's easy to get anywhere in Rome by foot or taxi from this location. I will stay here again and again.
