“Impressive arch”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

Visited the arch and colosseum at the same together.Beautiful and impressive.Unfortunately half of the arch is covered for renovation,so I carefully photographed the visible half and got some good photos of the arch and colosseum together.Has an impressive history and well worth a visit.

“Situated between the Coliseum and Palentino”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

Another great structure from Ancient Rome. You can see this clearly as you are approaching the Coliseum, it lies between the coliseum and the Palapentino.

Half of it under renovation so it's cladded but you can still appreciate the beauty of it.

“Under renovation - again!!”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

It seems we get our timing wrong each time we visit Rome. Half of the Arch was covered in scaffolding as it was on our visit back in 1988. It's a beautiful structure though - from what we could see of it - built in 315 AD to celebrate Constantine's victory over Maxentius.

“Must see for a history buff!”
Reviewed 11 August 2013 via mobile

This is the first thing you see when you entire the forum from the colosseum, and its AWESOME.

All it takes is a little reading and appreciation of Constantine to appreciate this arch. It's beautiful and enormous, and can be viewed marvelously from all angles. And makes for a beautiful photo op with the colosseum it the background!

A small beware: There were quite a few bike tours going on when I visited, and was pretty close to crashing into them from backing up for a photo. So just be wary of the bikers, haha

not as exciting as I expected partly because there was some renovating works around the arch and it's being blocked.
