“Beautiful”

We found this on our last day and it was only 5 minutes walk from our hotel. It is huge and has some beautiful works of art inside. Well worth a visit!

“Beautiful church”
Reviewed 6 June 2013

It is grand, however it is a little different than some of the other Papal Churches in Rome. A visit here can be combined with a 15 min walk to San Giovanni in Laterano.

“One beautiful cathedral”
Reviewed 3 June 2013

Full of amazing statues, very elaborately decorated with a crypt down below open to the public with a marble pope praying and he is about 25 feet long and 15 feet high. It pulls you down the steps.

This is a holy place with a museum in the basement filled with the reliquaries of very famous Catholic saints. The place under the altar has a huge statue of Pope Leo kneeling. It is a quiet place to meditate and to pray.
