Typical tourist food - we had eggplant parm and 4 cheese gnocchi which were fine. Lamb, which was a poor cut and hard to eat. We then had the worlds worst tiramisu and panna cotta. The tiramisu was as dry as a sponge left out for a month and it seemed to have been that old too. The panna cotta was no better. Our bill was quite high and suspect. Shame on them for taking advantage of tourists. We just wandered into this restaurant and I'm sorry we didn't get to see the reviews first or we would have been spared a disappointing experience.

A little tired after a long day, we went against our better judgement and stopped at what appears to be a typical 'cheap, below average quality, tourist restaurant'

HOW WRONG WE WERE?? - It turned out to be a dreadful food and a restaurant that actively seeks to deceive with it's pricing and charges - you can see from many of the reviews that it is a consistent theme where 'unexpectedly' high bills and charges have been received.

Obviously reading the reviews back at the hotel, we would never of even stopped there. However in hindsight there are clear 'signs' from the menu and whole look of the place - that you will not been getting 'great italian cusine' - (we should have followed our gut instinct and moved on after one drink!!) but when you are tired with a young child you sometimes think 'this will do' - However blatant scam tactics and deception leave a very sour taste in your mouth.

The waiters are 'very good at their deceiving job/tactics' - being nice and getting you to relax - and not notice the incredibly high overall cost that you will end up having to pay for seriously low standard food and also the small print on the menu where they also add a compulsory 15% service charge.

If you read this and still go to eat there then you deserve what you get!

If you read this afterwards a terrible experience like I did, then at least you should have some solace that you are not the only one to have sucked in by this team of scam merchants.

Enjoy :-)

Worst meal I have had on two continents. Over priced and just plain bad. Only redeeming factor was a religious procrsdion that took place right up thr street while we were outside eating. Other than that nothing good to say at all.

We were fairly hungry after a long day spent in the vatican and decided to go for something to eat. We walked down the nearby streets in search of a restaurant to eat in. We saw this one with a "special offer" meal and said we would be happy to order that. In this meal we ordered 2 pizzas and 2 spaghetti bolognese. For drinks we had 2 bottles of water and 2 small cokes. After we had ordered that the very nice friendly man who had put us in the air conditioned part of the restaurant asked if we would like starters or extras at a "small additional cost" we asked for 4 extra large meat balls.

The food came it tasted very cheap and pretty dry. After finishing the food he asked us if we would like something extra or a desert, luckily we asked for the receipt. When receiving it the bill came to 141 euros. This really didn't go down well with me so I question the cost of everything

The special offer meal was only for people who sat outside

2 spaghetti bolenges 44 euro
2 pizzas 35 euros
2 waters 8 euros
2 small cokes 9 euros
4 extra meat balls 22 euros
An additional 8 euros to be sat under the air conditioning with out even asking
And the worst part of it an additional 15 euro tip for the service

All costing 141 euros ( I still have the receipt)

I was fuming but after a 10 minute argument i decided to pay it as we were very tired after a long day out

Please don't bother going near the place, check everything when your eating out and make sure you know additional costs as we found all this out to late!
