In the Trastevere, very close to the river, you will find this church, which is unknown to most of the people.
It is a basilica, very much liko other churches in Rome, but which hides in its underground the remains of a Constantinian church, in a quite good state of conservation.
You have to talk with the sacristan and ask him to let you go down. It is free, but it is advisable to leave a small tip.
When you are down, you will feel like an archeologist, in the quietness of a place where you will be most likely the only visitor.
