“Great location but nothing else”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

The location of the hotel is good, next to the Spanish Steps and very close to Trevi Fountain.
We booked a triple room but it was basically a double room with an extra bed (foldable, very uncomfortable). The room has not enough space for 3 people. The bathroom is big, especially compared to the size of the room. The wifi is free but did not work in our room! I mentioned it several times but nothing changed. The breakfast was average (same every day). I have some doubt about the security as anybody from the street has an easy access to the rooms. Tourists are not treated particularly well in Rome, unfortunatly this hotel is not an an exception. They offer hop on hop off bus ticket but finally I did not buy at the hotel as they did not have the map. There are many other companies, I suggest to make some research in advance.
We booked a car to the airport through the hotel when we left. It was much comfortable than the "regular" taxi and the price is more or less the same. I would recommend it.
I will choose another hotel next time. Hotel Trevi Collection is an average hotel without any charm in a city with full of history.

Room Tip: There are 5 floors, the breakfast is at 5th floor. The wifi did not work on the 4th floor.

We stayed 4 nights. Nice location, many reastaurants around, modern but small room with basic amenities, do not expect anything fancy, ok staff but at least they can understand and speak English, breakfast was poor; very crumbled feeling all around at the hotel as it shares the building with other establishments, ok for the price considering Rome standards but cannot recommend it anyways!

We just stayed in this hotel during our Europe trip..
If you are a family with baby/child on a stroller avoid this hotel..
The location is great but its kind of hard to stroll with cobble stones narrow streets and pushing the stroller everyday uphill to the hotel is was quite challenging for us..
Plus the hotel has the tinest elevator I have seen in my life!
So no strollers allowed in the elevator so u have to leave it with reception which was a plus because of the limited space in the room..
The room very clean well modern decorated but was extremely small for us..
No amenities no kettele I have to call the reciptions for my baby hot water for the formula but unfortunately they are unavailable after 7 pm!!
No laundry though..

Room Tip: The upper floor may be quieter then the reception/ breakfast floor, dont know as we were on upper fl...

I just came back from a wonderful trip to Europe and Rome was my last stop. Hotel Trevi Collection, near the top of the Piazza di Spagna and Trevi Fountain was close to where we want to go, as most of the hotels in this area, but what we really liked the nice room interiors. It's roomy, comfy, and the styling was very boutique-like. Great rooms for much less than we spent for the other hotels we stayed in!

The breakfast was nice, with a lot of pastries and juices, the wifi wasn't the best I've used, but it does its job. But the minibar had really good value. The bottled water we took from the ref was cheaper than the stores outside!

I can't say anything bad about this hotel. Lovely rooms, very nice and clean, great breakfast, cheap minbar, They also had a taxi service you can call up. Basically that's all we really need! Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor. easy to get up the stairs from reception, but you have to wait for the l...

Warning: The Trevi Collection means a collection of hotels, rooms, etc. While the Trevi Collection Hotel itself may be 4 star and recently renovated, their other properties are not.
Here is our story which should be helpful if you book this hotel. My wife and I were concluding a month long tour of Italy which included eight hotels. We booked a last night stay in Rome, pre-paid through a travel agent, at the Trevi Collection prior to flying back to the U.S.
Upon arrival at the Trevi Collection (2pm), the receptionist told us there was no room due to a "medical emergency" and a guest that had not checked-out. While this seemed odd (only one room available this early in the day?), we accepted her explanation and promise that we would be shuttled to another hotel with similar accommodations ("superior or better").
When we arrived at the next hotel, the Trevi Hotel (around the block), we encountered a much older hotel and a receptionsit who was unfamiliar with our situation. Nevertheless, she registered us for the night.
When a bellman arrived to take our luggage, imagine our surprise when, with no prior notice or explanation, he wheeled our bags out the front door, down an alley and onto the cross street. Upon asking where he was going, the bellman said that the Trevi had lots of rooms throughout the neighborhood.
After a block, we entered a building with no external sign, walked down a long hallway, and across an internal courtyard. To the left of the first floor room we were ultimately given was an open door to the back of a kitchen located on a back lane. Upon entering our room, we found a completely undecorated space with no window except an upper ventilation space located right on that active lane. And, there we stayed for the night.
I resent bait-and-switch tactics. What they did to us was unethical, bad business and potentially illegal. Fortunately, this experience did not ruin our glorious journey.
Let the buyer beware!!

We had a great stay at this hotel especially considering the standard of hotels in Rome. We stayed at another hotel in Rome during this trip and the Trevi collection hotel was far better. Centrally located, a short walk to the Spanish Steps. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms. Newly renovated. Staff were friendly, spoke English. They also held our bags prior to checking in as we arrived early in the morning. Would definitely stay here again and really couldn't fault them.
