“Great location”
Reviewed 4 February 2012

Railway 24 is situated one minute from the main entrance to the train station - ideal if you have a lot of luggage. The rooms are fairly big and spacious, clean, with a good ensuit. The only two down sides to staying here was 1) our room looked over the main street running next to the train station, which meant the European horn bibbin frenzy woke us up from sunrise: 2) Paola, the owner who is a great host and clearly loves her city, even brings you breakfast in bed (a coffee and packaged croissants and toast) between 7:30-9 which means you must be awake at the time you agreed with her the night before.

The attractions are reasonably near, a short bus ride, although the Colosseum is within walking distance even for the lazy!

Overall a nice place to stay, although if I were to go back to Rome, I'd prefer to stay nearer the centre (near the Pantheon - although prices will increase dramatically).

We are a young, austrian couple, and stayed at the railway 24 for a few days. A nice, cosy, b&b; the rooms were large and tidy, and Paola, the host, was very nice and helpful! We just can recommand her to everyone who wants to have a great time in Rome!

A few minutes walk from Termini, large bedroom with beautiful bathroom, air conditioning, plenty of storage space and scrupulously clean. Breakfast was typically continental served in our room at an agreed time.Paolo was very helpful with advice on sights to visit and recommended a lovely restaurant, La Forchetta d'oro close by. Would not hesitate to highly recommend this gem of accomodation. Thank You Paolo.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent.

My husband and I stayed for four nights in August, can't say enough about the place, clean and everything you could want in a B & B. Close to the Termini and Paolo was great and really helpful when it came to giving advice and places to go and see. She also recommended a great home style restaurant, La Forchetta which we used for three nights it was so good. Would stay there again without hesitation.

this place is great... not like most B&Bs which are actually hotels that call themselves b&Bs. The owner lives in an apartment right next to yours in the same unit. there are only 2 rooms to this B&B, thus the owner Paola is very attentive, yet gives you your space. She is very helpful, friendly and cheery. At first, it feels kind of weird because the front door is actually the front door of an appartment complex (we were used to seeing big signs like hotels have). But once we met Paola we felt more comfortable. It kinda feels like you are staying at her home (which technically you are) which can feel a bit uncomfy in the first few min but after a bit, it actually is quite great. no need for taxi from the train station - as it is walking distance. The area around the train station itself (just like any big city ) is not the greatest, nor is it the prettiest or cleanest in the area...but I was here with my friend - we are 2 gals in our 30s, and we felt pretty safe.
The room it self is spacious and very clean with a clean bathroom and Air conditioning. The breakfast is the typical Roman continental breakfast, coffee, juice, wrapped pastry. Paola takes into consideration how you like your coffee made and what time you would like to have it brought to you.
I would definately recommend this place. It makes you have a sense for being in a real roman apartment. There is also AC. The only thing is that there is noise from the main street. closing the windown seal helps, I also brought ear plugs. I slept ok and I am a light sleeper.

This was a great place to stay, brilliant location just round the corner from Termini station and the owner is extremely helpful. She gives you all the advise you need for staying in Rome and serves a great little breakfast in your room, pastries and any kind of coffee you like! the rooms are lovely, really clean and spacious and there is air con which is always good in the hot summer months! Can't fault Railway 24.

The B&B is excellently places on a side-street adjacent to the train station. No need for a taxi as the walk from stepping off the train from the airport to arriving at the front door takes about 5 minutes. The room we had was spacious and immaculately clean. Good size bathroom and shower unit. Plenty of storage space. A big plus is that the bed had a super comfortable mattress.
Our strongest recommendation of the B&B is down to the friendly warm welcome we received from Paola. Throughout our stay we received great advice and recommendations on how best to fit as much into our long weekend without making it too rushed either.
