Let me start off by saying that if you’re expecting a normal “hotel” type accommodation with the grand lobby, pools, spa, etc., you’re not going to find that here. Domus Via Veneto is more of a guesthouse accommodation, with a much more personal atmosphere that has very friendly people working there. If you’re concerned about being a big city and being unsafe, rest assure this a very nice area. The U.S embassy is literally steps away from the entrance from there, and there’s a police station right next door as well. The rooms are smaller, but you’re in Rome, so a lot of space isn’t afforded to a lot of places anyways. Plus you won’t be there a lot of the time you’ll be out in the city or traveling around. All-in-all I hope that you all consider this place over a major hotel for its much more personable atmosphere, great breakfast every morning, and the overall experience of staying in a place that is closer to what most Romans live in.
