When we actually found it, I felt like I had been dropped into Ancient Rome - seems a silly thing to say, but it really had an emotional impact on me

Again, you have to see it to believe it. Should be part of any visit to Rome. Give it 30 minutes to fully see it. The piazza out front is great for people watching also.

No tickets or lines.

This place of worship captures many different aspects of Rome's religious past. Originally built to honour the Greek/ Roman Gods, it was changed to become a Christian church and captures architecture and monuments from both ages

It is one of the must sees in Rome. Easy to get to and really spectacular to see both from the outside and interior.

The only complete Roman structure in the city if not in the world. Amazing architecture. Also we liked the square around it.
