The word 'boutique' is far too frequently used by hotels with little meaning but this hotel can justify its use. Great location, right at the heart of the forum. Great room design and little touches. Afternoon tea to rest your weary legs after a day's exploring and great service from knowledgeable staff!

Stayed in conjunction with a Trauma and Attachment conference and absolutely loved every moment of it. Stayed in three different rooms and got a good feeling of the vibe and quality of the rooms. Apparently there is an appartement/suite in the bottom of the hotel with at small terrace, and although I did not stay there it looked so lovely and cosy. The staff was extraordinary helpful and polite, and as other guest have mentioned the breakfast and coffee to die for. A gem in Rome, the area very lively and young - and the hotel is just opposite Forum Romanum. What a treasure.

Rome was the last stop of our two week European holiday and we wanted a hotel near the colosseum. The first hotel we found and fell in love with was completely booked by the time we had our exact dates. We continued searching and there weren't many options in the area we wanted, it seemed everything was booked. We found this hotel and it got good reviews but was a bit over what we had budgeted for our hotel in Rome. We bit the bullet and booked it since we had gotten better rates than expected in some of the other places we were going and I am so glad that we did because it was worth every penny that we paid.

We booked a Boutique budget room with Queen size bed. The room was a nice size for a European room however the bathroom was tiny. The saving grace of the bathroom was that it was very well appointed, all marble, and it was very clean with very soft towels, something you never find in a hotel. The bed was very comfortable with nice sheets and duvet. The hardwood floors in the room were a nice touch and the air conditioning and wifi worked brilliantly. The room key was little quirky with it being an actual key rather than an electronic key and the key to the safe was an old Skelton type key, but we liked the charm of it.

It really was all the little things that made the big difference at this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. When checking in the girl working at the desk offered us a map and circled all the places we should go. She also asked if we wanted some restaurant options and gave us a list of places they recommend as well as circling an area on the map that was a little less touristy. We came home late one night and asked if we could still get a coffee, I really think they were closed but the guy working at the desk made them for us anyhow and then refused to let us pay for them. They also offered an afternoon tea & coffee with snack which was complementary and a very nice touch. It would have been nice if breakfast would have been included, however there were both full breakfast and a la carte options all of which were very reasonable especially compared to other hotels we stayed at while on our trip.

The hotel was in a great location for hitting all the major sites in Rome, approximately 5-6 minute walk to the colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill and the Colosso Metro stop just to name a few. They had a nice selection of travel guides about Rome and Italy which were a nice touch as well.

The next time we are in Rome this hotel will be high on our list to stay at again.

I stayed in a single room which was tiny but a bargain for the location. Hotel has a great feel about it. Staff are super friendly - especially the breakfast ladies.

Breakfast was a highlight. Beautiful coffee, fresh fruit, pastries, tomatoes, ham, mozzarella, boiled egg. Simple but really tasty.

Hotel is walking distance from everything and the colosseum is just around the corner. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for the last two nights of this Italian trip. The name threw me until I found out that the hotel is literally across the road from the Nerva Forum, couple of thousand years old. Ten minute stroll to Colosseo less to Piazza Venezia and the Vottorio Emmanuelle building. You cannot get any more central. The staff, all of them always polite and helpful from general advice to restaurant bookings to a car to the airport. All of it done quickly, on time, first time of asking and pleasantly. Also very patient with my "Italian" attempts. The breakfast was amazing for Rome, eggs, meat, cheeses and buns of all descriptions. The rooms amaze me! I cannot figure out how they manage to provide modern hotels, small, in a building hundreds of years old while maintaining its' structural integrity. All necessary conveniences including a small shower. This is a little gem!

Room tip: Room 103, easy to get to, looking across the road.

We stayed here for 7 nights on our first trip to Rome- family of four, our kids aged 6 and 8. We found the staff friendly, helpful and engaging. We had the family suite- which consisted of 2 interconnecting rooms. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed- though due to the nature of the original building- not huge ( though they probably are by Roman standards...) We loved how the staff were so kind to our children- much more personal than a chain hotel experience. Sally and the ladies looked after us so well serving a lovely breakfast that consisted of fresh generous portions of yoghurts, cheeses- including fresh mozzarella and delicious cherry tomatoes, prosciutto and ham, chopped fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, bread and homemade cakes. Coffee was excellent as was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Coffee tea and cakes are also served in the afternoon. I was particularly pleased with Paulo's response to my request for better gin in their bar- he organised a bottle to arrive that afternoon- perfecto! The location was excellent- walking distance to lots of restaurants , the Colosseum, Trevi, Spanish Steps etc. We only caught a taxi once as we were running late for our Vatican tour. We will definitely stay here again- highly recommended.
