“Great Christmas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2011

We spent the 25th of December here. I was a little sad to not be spending the holidays at home, but the staff at the Lancelot made us feel incredibly welcome. We ended up eating Christmas dinner with them and then playing dice games afterward with the family. Anyways if going to Rome I highly recommend this hotel. Fantastic location, staff, and accommodations.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Colosseum

Spent 5 nights here in Nov. 2011. Location is great if you want to be near the Colessium and Roman Forum. If that's not your thing, there isn't much else nearby. Hotel is very clean and the front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a terrace view of the collessium and the terrace was HUGH! It had plants and flowers in addition to a table and chairs. EXCELLENT! My only complaint is the bathroom...there are no shelves on which to store toiletries, which got annoying after a while. Buffet breakfast was nice, although the coffee should be better than it is.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace view of the colesseum. It is worth it!!!

This hotel is located up a quiet street near the Coloseum and a Metro stop. Walking distance to many of the sites around the Roman Forum. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were very modern. Breakfast was very good for our family of four - three adults and a teen.

A pure find in Rome. Well located, beautifully maintained, a kind, helpful and generous staff and terrific breakfasts.

The owning Khan family are true hoteliers who have run this wonderful place for years. They are tremendously, and, as importantly, accurately, helpful regarding any site, location, restaurant, etc.

You couldn't find a better place to stay in Rome.

Not a modern chain hotel - much better! Very helpful front desk people. Walk to colluseum and many other historical landmarks. Spare but nice rooms with small standing shower. Yummy round table breakfast. Not really a place for kids but lovely for adults

The reason I chose this hotel was its location. It is very close to coloseo. But besides Coloseo there is nothing to see around.Internet was free but awful.Consider that you do not have internet.Parking was also difficult in the area.If you have a car do not choose this area. One day they knocked the door even though there was a `Don't disturb' sign.So they may disturb you even though you say `don't disturb`.The hotel is a small hotel and I think that it is not the worth its value.I would not go to this hotel once again.

The location is ideal... quiet side streets, great restaurants within walking distance, and the Colosseum is a very short walk away. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They surprised us with a bottle of champagne since we checked in on our 19th anniversary, which they brought to our 6th floor terrace view of the Colosseum. If we go back to Rome, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.
