“Not a Bed and Breakfast, but not bad”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Despite what the hotel is named on many websites (i.e., Inn Roman Terrace - Bed and Breakfast) and what appears to be stated in the description, there is no breakfast served. We had a 10-minute "discussion" with staff about this on check-in. This is a small (less than 10 rooms) pensione very close to the Termini rail station in Central Rome. Rooms are clean and linen regularly cleaned. There is a coffe machine (capsule-type) which provides espresso and macchiato. A small store across the street sells beer, wine and groceries. Walking distance to everything in Rome if you like to walk. Short metro trips if you don't, from Termini. In sum, despite the misleading name, it is good value for money with friendly staff, and we'd stay there again.

Room Tip: It is a busy area, so a bit noisy, but if you ask for an interior room, you should have no problem.

Lovely, central, inexpensive Hotel located on second floor of building quite near to the terminus (so easy to reach by Metro or coach) - believe third floor has private apartments so not noisy in any way. We stayed during May 2014 and found the staff courteous, charming and helpful - we would definitely use again and would highly recommend. We had a private terrace outside our room, leading onto a communal terrace. There was also a kitchenette just off this - with microwave, coffee/tea//chocolate making machine etc., all FOC - very handy as room only basis offered so hot drink can be had before setting off to have breakfast and to explore. There are also sun loungers for if you would like a little time off from viewing this wonderful city. Very impressed :)

Room Tip: We had room 4 which had the private terrace - believe some don't have this facility

No complain about this price.

Close to the Roma Termini. Not the most desirable area, but the hotel is in a better area of it. You can also walk everywhere from this area (Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, Vatican, etc) Nothing spectacular about the hotel itself, or rooms, but for the price per night it was decent.

This was my second time staying at Roman Terrace. Once again, the primary driver was easy access to the termini train station to catch the train for Fiumicino airport for a morning flight. After doing a lot of research for a good spot near the airport with a free or cheap shuttle, and finding the costs to be rather high for anything reasonably convenient, I refocused my search to the termini area of Rome. Booking just a couple of days in advance I got a very good rate (€53) here. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated, though very small, which may be a problem for some but wasn't an issue for us. Even though it is in a busy area, with a tram running right under the window, the windows are quite soundproof and the air conditioner works well so you can be comfortable with everything closed. We didn't pay for breakfast so can't comment on that, but there was free coffee and tea in the common area. The only negative is the all the rooms are in a small suite with a central common area and you can hear the other guests coming and going, with door locks and a entry door that are a bit noisy. The rooftop terrace is splendid and a peaceful spot to unwide. The area near the station isn't the greatest, but there are a lot of other hotels and restaurants right there so always lots of activity. I will always consider staying here for early flights.

This hotel is in a good location, with decent rooms, right next to Termini station. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and helped us out when we the safe was locked. The wi-fi was also very good in our room. When we first got to the room the windows were all open so we closed them to go out for the afternoon. When we got back the room smelled like rotten eggs from the bathroom drains, which hung around all evening. While the room was perfectly adequate in all other aspects, and the bed was comfy, the smell through the night was a bit off putting.

My husband and I stayed at Roman Terrace hotel for four nights and found it a very good place to stay. It is not a whole building, but the hotel is in the second floor of a building and has a few rooms. At the arrival time we faced a very charming and kind receptionist. He explained everything to us and even asked our questions, he showed us all sightseeing places on our map and even determined the best priority for visiting those places. Then we entered the room. It was very clean and nice. There was a coffee machine and a microwave at the kitchen for free to use. There was also a backyard which looked nice but we didn't use because of the cold weather.
