We visited this trattoria on recommendation of our B&B host as it was nearby and we couldn't face doing any more walking! Initially we were a little daunted by the prices on the menu - however after eating some beautiful turbot with a hazelnut and almond crust with green ratatouille and my best friend had the seabass (or bream??) with potato rosti and zucchini - the prices for each main were completely justified (around 19eur for a seafood main). Both were divine. We had house white which was lovely and very reasonable. I then had a bit of food envy when my dining partner ordered the chocolate fondant!! Definitely go for it off you have any room left. On top of all this the service was excellent and the restaurant atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

We spent some days in Rome in June, attending a conference and getting tired of the very warm weather. Finding De Santis was like finding our oasis; very tasty and fresh combinations of fruits and vegetables, awesome suggestions offered by lovely Anjelo, the most engaging and kind waiter I have ever met in my life! We enjoyed a fresh salad, boosted our immune system with a glass of fresh juice and ate a super tasty panini! For what we had, the price was lower than we are used to paying in London! Overall, De Santis was our great and unexpected gem in the tiny streets of Rome!

Spend a couple of days in Rome last week and a friend who had been there before advised us to go there and try the classic tradidional Roman food! It just was fantastic, the food - ranging from classic roman plates to excellent ham and cheese, not to forget the excellent deserts they we have been served as well as the great white wine! The staff are great, we were immediately given a table outside and the food was served quickly! Overall an excellent experience and a far better way then eating in the overcrowded no-value-for-money restaurants in the obvious touristic places in Rome! Easy to get there as well as it is located close to Manzoni tube station and Porta Maggiore! A great experience!

This is one of those very good family owned restaurants that you can find in Rome, was like a neighborhood place with great atmosphere. The place is recently renovated, the food is very good and the service as well.

Restaurant was nicely decorated but there was only few customers during our 2,5 hours stay. Appetizer with different cheeses and meats was ok, we shared it. Meat rolls in tomato sauce were ok but the dish was quite expensive. Pork fillet with bacon was overcooked and dry. And expensive. Only thing that met our expectations was house red wine which was good and cheap. Also the desert, vulcano chocolate cake with ice cream, was a good choice. Service was ok but nothing special about that either.
