A great welcome, and a lovely little place. We booked the whole of this boutique hotel (eight people) and it was apartment living in the middle of Rome, with a fab cafe for breakfast less than a minute's walk away. Absolutely splendid.

The location is fine, the neighborhood is great/active, at least at night. However, we went to check in and nobody was there. We rang the bell, banged on the door for about 20 minutes before leaving (with all our luggage) to look for a place to eat. Returned about an hour later, repeated the same thing before finally giving up and finding another place to stay. Not what I want to have to do after getting off a plane, researching a place, etc. Can't have a worse experience than not being able to get in the door. Ended up about a block away at Hotel Felice, which was fine.

Coming by foot from the railway station (700 meters away) you could be scared (quite dirty streets, poor people begging on the street etc) but Stay at Rome is in a very strategical and safe position. In the heart of san Lorenzo, a very beautiful and typical area with a huge choice of restaurants, bars and other amenities. It is also well connected. Not so crowded like other areas is a place to meet real romans due to its proximity to the university. Arriving at the B&B the entrance is not very cool. It is a condo, but the apartment is big enough, clean and rooms look really like in the pictures. Italian breakfast is possible at the bar in front of the B&B, on the other side of the street, 50 meters from the entrance of the condo. Owners also provide a shuttle from or to Fiumicino or Ciampino airport (45 euros one way instead of 48 with a normal taxy) and owners are extremely helpful. For me this place was a "must" and I will recommend it.

My fiance and i stayed here for six nights and loved the place. It is close to termini station so you can easily get around as it is the hub for the city transportation services. It is very clean and the owner is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served across the street at a local cafe. The owner of the cafe is is friendly and helpful as well. We were introduced to him at the beginning of our stay and he knew who we were from then on. There are some reasonably priced restaurants in the neighborhood that are nice. Make sure you call the owner when you reach termini station to let him know you are coming because he does not stay at the B&B. The easiest thing to do is to take a cab from termini so you can avoid dragging luggage around as you try to find this place. After that i wouldn't suggest taking a cab any where as they are expensive. I work at a resort in Hawaii that has a four and one half rating out of the possible five from this site and would highly recommend this place.

It was better than a typical hotel because I had a chance to stay in a non touristic neighborhood, in a nice, clean apartment building where Romans lived. Super clean and cleaned daily. I had a private bathroom (super clean), nicely furnished room (like on the photos) with a tv, a kettle and free tea. Classic Italian breakfast (coffee and croissant ) in a very nice cafeteria across the street. Great neighborhood full of restaurants, pizzerias and many other interesting places. Everything u need to everyday life is just there. Easy 5 minute walk from Termini makes this location a perfect starting point for sightseeing. Owner is a very friendly and helpful person.Book with confidence!

A friend and I were in Rome overnight and stayed here. It was kind of hard to find because you don't really expect it to be in an apartment type of building. It's nice because it's not that far from the train station. Just the directions can be tricky because the way the street is set up. All of the staff that we encountered were great. The guy working the desk, Frank, had a ton of suggestions and offered to help us with any and everything. Although we weren't in the room very long, just basically to sleep, it was just what we needed. Our room overlooked a small courtyard and it was nice to open the windows and look out. We also had a private bathroom in our room. Overall I was very satisfied and the staff was so helpful. This was my first time abroad and my friend's first time in Italy so it was nice to have someone show us where to go where not to go that really knew the city and didn't expect anything in return.

We stayed here in October 2011. We found the B&B with a little help from a street map. As other people have mentioned this is an apartment and the owner does not stay at the apartment so he was not there when we arrived, but we called him and he turned up within 10 minutes to let us in. He was very nice and helpful and informative. The room was a good size, lovely and clean with tea and coffee making and water etc. We did have some issues with the water temperature in the shower, but it was very hot whilst we were in Rome so a cool shower was fine. The apartment is very close to the termini station which was great for us as we were travelling in Italy by train and overall we felt it was a good location. Not right in the centre, but close enough for us to walk to all the main sights. The breakfast is a pastry and a coffee in the cafe accross the road which was ample for us, but wouldn't fill you up.

I would say the main downside to this property was that the walls were quite thin and on our first night there was a very noisy couple in the room next door to us and so it was difficult to sleep. Also our room was by the front door and with the thin doors you could hear people coming and going.

Overall I felt it was good value for money as most hotels in Rome seemed very expensive, but be aware that it is a bit outside of the centre of things so not reccommended for people who don't like to walk. I would reccommend this B&B.
