We drove into Rome from the Siena area...our only mistake! As clueless Americans, Max was able to find us at our parking spot and take us on a whirlwind tour of Rome. Max, along with Alessandra gave us a remarkable experience as well and a extremely informational account of the history of Rome. He took is to all the major places and was respectful and very kind. Alessandra was a wonderful tour guide through the Vatican and Colosseum. Of course all the places were crowded but we went past all the lines. Before entering the Sistine Chapel Alessandra spent a few moments explaining all of Michelangelo's art and put our minds in his. It truly prepared us for what to look for when we went inside. There isn't much time and I was grateful for the time she spent explaining beforehand. They were both also very conscious of my 70 year old mom and her friend and their mobility needs. One final thing, I LOVED that they did not carry around a pole or umbrella to help us follow them, it made us feel less touristy!
