“Nice, has to get better”
Reviewed 14 July 2014 via mobile

The hotel is nice, clean, and the staff is super nice. The location is terrific, right in the center of Rome, we were close to all the important monuments. However, there are some things that we did not like: Wifi was minimum speed, enough for email but nothing else. Breakfast is ok if you like sweet food, if not it will certainly let you down. The shower did not work properly, switching from cold to hot water randomly. The TV and the fridge were just bad, and the biggest problem was that in the morning, as the sun was rising we got a LOT of light into our room (no blinds whatsoever). The decoration is somewhere between nice and ghastly.
All in all, this is a good hotel if you want to disconnect from everything and see the city, but I think that if they fix these things, they would be 10 times better. Should you need the Internet or like modern vibrant hotels, this is not for you.

Got a two person room and it was really really small. There was a gigantic, high step in the bathroom to get to the toilet from the sink which could be pretty dangerous (for children and elderly). The view was nice and the hotel was situation in the middle of ancient Roman historical sites, which was extremely convenient. However, the breakfast was not good, and again, the room was very small. They did give free waters on request, which was very much appreciated, and the staff was nice. Also, some of the other rooms our group stayed at never received the wake up calls they requested. I'd only recommend it to people without elderly or kids that also have cell phones with thr alarm feature.

The location in 'Ancient Rome' was excellent and it was an easy walk to many of the most interesting sights. The reception staff were particularly pleasant and welcoming. However the hotel is located on a very busy street and the traffic noise is almost continuous throughout the night, disturbing sleep. It may be possible to request a room at the rear of the hotel although you then miss the views over the city. The double room was small and fairly uninspiring; the lack of a mirror in the bedroom was annoying as was the inadequate storage space, however on the plus side, the room was and bathroom was very clean. The breakfast buffet was average in quality but serves a good variety to suit most tastes.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the road.

We booked this hotel while we were in Rome, as the hotel we were staying in was dreadful (review to follow). Anyway, we've stayed here twice or three times. Its reasonably priced (for Rome) but it has the benefit of being right in the middle of everything. You only need public transport if you don't like walking or cannot physically walk to where you need to go. Rooms aren't 5* but they are clean and airy. It can get a bit noisy in the evening, as the back of the hotel backs onto a sort of bar / restaurant area so bring ear plugs. Breakfast is good and the staff are very helpful. Lift is tiny though! If I was going back to Rome and I wish I was - this is where I'd stay.

We stayed at Hotel Traiano for a weekend and really enjoyed it. An elegant hotel, our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. An especially nice touch was the drinks and nibbles brought to our room as a welcome gesture soon after we arrived. The delicious breakfast was served in the amazing dining room with its fabulous ceiling. The receptionists were very helpful, especially Guiseppe, and we were made to feel welcome. The hotel is very well located for the Forum and Coliseum.

We were setting off on a cruise the following day. A little far to walk from the train station with luggage but we couldn't find a taxi! We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a friendly receptionist. The hotel struck me as very organised. They upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost which was nice. The room was clean and nice and quiet. Free wifi in room. We used their free shuttle to the port for our cruise which was very good and only took about 10-15 minutes. Good breakfast, loads of variety and food available. Overall a lot better than we anticipated.

I was offered this hotel as a substitute as the hotel I initially booked was overbooked.
I was offered this place. Since it was quite late I had ti take it.
I would say it is awfull. It heavily needs repairs and cleaning.
I suggest to avoid it.
The staff is very rude. Then a visitor came to see me they had not let him in asking for extra money.
It's awful. I haven't met such attitude for a ling time

Room Tip: Avoid it I had a room on 3 floor. Many doors were broken.
