“Once apon a time....”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

Back in the 1960's hotel regent got 4 stars and managed to keep them... just another of the worst hotels i'v stayed in... Booked in with a Contiki group so prepaid ect ect checked in late went to room to find 1 bed (Id like to say it was a single but miles smaller) After 3 days of confirming that I am to have a double bed I was slightly surprised. I should have learnt from my last week in Rome that the Italians do nothing for convenience. Staff are abrupt and rude. Moved rooms to a "double" room that had 2 single beds! But I made do. Wifi? Grabbed a password off the desk on my way up and tried to login no dice! Next day tried to call down but phone dosnt work. Can connect to the wifi but "aparently" (after asking my room number) they are old devices and dont work. long black hair in the bath, mould on the curtain and a view of the surrounding sick and dying comunity. Under the beds had not been vaccumed found a receipt from a couple months back under there. Plated some breakfast but chose not to risk it it was that suspect. Overall I would find somewhere else (what I am doing at this moment just came here to express not to stay here)

My wife and I expected so much more from a four-star rated hotel. First they cater more to groups than couple or individuals, which results in constant pandemonium in the small lobby. The advertised concierge is mostly a double duty for the desk clerk, and unless you are with a group coming or going, the bellman is non MIA. Free breakfast but no in-house normal restaurant. No other amenities. We handled our own luggage. The elevators are small, rickety, and the rooms are tiny. The room we had had no place for a chair and I sat on the end of the bed to use the desk. Double bed was two singles pushed together. Maintenance was poor, with door jambs rotting out at the bottom and ceiling cracks in the bathroom. The tub and shower was minature. The A/C was noisy. The hotel is outside the city center so do not expect to walk anywhere for anything of note. We know four and five star. This isn't in the same univesre.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a chair, real double bed.

Just spent two nights in this hotel.
The location is quite nice, the staff is very kind, breakfast is fine, only served in a below-the-street-level very large room; nice croissants, btw :).
Rooms are quite nice, but beds (we had a double room with two single beds) are ok for kids; and luckily we are both quite slim but bigger guys would have some problems :).
The real problem is that our room (I don't know about the other ones) was quite noisy: you can hear ALL the cars and motorbikes passing by; on the other hand, the price is excellent :)

Stayed here 07-10 may 2014, as part of a long tour in Italie.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would use again. It's close to train station, metro, grocery store, pizzerie, gas station. Our room was very clean, comfortable, with a small fridge with plate water. The bathroom had a shower and bidet, towels very clean. Freet internet wi fi connection was acceptable. Staff friendly, prompt reply to what we need. Beakfast was wich a variety food: bacons, eggs, salami, yogurt, cereal, cake, tea, coffe, juice....
In conclusion, i agree whith other rewiewer:
NOT MUCH FROM THE OUTSIDE, BUT BEAUTIFUL INSIDE

Good hotel but not central. I stayed at room 361 which definitely needs refurbishment but clean. Towels and bathroom were always very clean and changed daily. Buffet breakfast was always very good with a wide choice. However, not plenty of restaurants or shops nearby.

Good hotel and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient station nearly next door for train to the metro (5 min) then only a few mins to termini. Easy transport links to most tourist sites. Good local restaurants. Watch out for unscrupulous taxi drivers. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would use again.

Very old and no updated hotel. It is okay , but it ia far away from the city. So if you dont have many days in Rome, I would choose a hotel closer to the city.

Also the breakfast is full of dry cakes and is not for a person who would like a healthy breakfast.

The rooms are okay but some very dark and they look "tired".

Room Tip: If you ask for an intern room you have no trafic noise in the evening, but then you have a very dark...
