Stayed here for a week while we visited all the attractions of Rome.
Loved how clean the hotel was, the bathroom exceptionally so - bliss!
Comfortable beds with good maid service each day.
Within walking distance of the vatican but local buses (2 min walk to stop) will take you all around the city for little cost to see the other antiquities.
We liked the mix of continental and "american" breakfast options, although the chef really needs to learn how to cook scrambled egg - very gooey. The waiting staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. We didn't each lunch or dinner in the hotel as we thought it looked over-priced.
We did have one drink in the bar and almost keeled over when we were charged 22euro for two gin & tonics - steep! We could neither taste nor smell the gin in them and when we asked the barman about it he showed us a brand of gin I'd never heard of before. He did put more gin in the glasses but we didn't drink in there again, too expensive.
There are a number of restaurants and cafes within walking distance of the hotel but all seemed to be selling standard tourist fodder, not particularly good Italian food. We opted to travel further away from the vatican area to eat and found a much better standard of restaurants serving authentic Italian food.
There was a problem with noise early in the morning when large parties were leaving to catch tour buses, the heavy room doors could do with a slow-close mechanism to cut down on banging noise.
We found the hotel reception staff variable in their approach to customers, one or two helpful & friendly, but others had a bit of a superior attitude.

Room Tip: High floor at the front of the hotel.

Location is perfect for the Vatican but Rome's other attractions (Trevi Fountain, Colosseum etc.) are a 45-minute walk away. It's in a side street so relatively quiet. The place is shiny clean, a/c cooled with nice decor. The lobby is full of T-shirt 'n shorts tourists planning their next outing. One problem: some of these guys start early, so be prepared for hallway noise at 6.00am. The staff are superb: hard-pressed at peak times but always smiling, always helpful, in English and other languages. The restaurant is OK. Typical Euro buffet (sad scrambled eggs, cheese, ham etc.), but why no decent juices or fresh fruit? The restaurant was empty at lunch and dinner even though the pasta dishes etc. were good. Guest room and bathroom were generous size for a big city with comfortable bed and free (slow) wifi. Basement meeting rooms are pleasant with excellent a/v and, again, very helpful staff.

Room Tip: A room away from the central elevators might protect you from early morning noise.

This hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the vatican and perfect for touring.
The rooms are nice, great A/C, great staff and just an overall comfortable visit
Many great restaurants around to walk to (less than 5 minutes - 2-3 blocks).

Perfect time and we had 3 rooms w/6 adults - no issues at all for any of the travelers.

Room Tip: If you want a view, be sure to get on the 7th floor, but you can see the Vatican from the front door...

Staying three nights in this hotel, we found the room to be spacious and comfortable and a good value. Eating in the dining room at breakfast three times and once in the evening, the food was good, but not stellar. As for location, you can see St. Peter's from the street by the entrance and it is only a two block or so walk. Also, we found the Wi-fi access to be very difficult. Having stayed at many hotels during a two week trip through 4 countries, it seemed inordinately difficult to access the Wi-fi - taking an hour or so to work through the access procedures the first time and then having difficulty each time thereafter.

Great location overlooking the Vatican. Fantastic concierge with vast knowledge of the area and places to visit. Nice bar with great biscuits served with coffee. Breakfast was a great selection and staff very accommodating. Very quiet and peaceful surrounding. Very modern rooms and refurbed to a high standard. Very festive due to time we went. Free wifi in reception which was a good signal.

Agree entirely with Gill228's very favorable review below entitled 'Easter in Rome' -- would only add we found it to be the nicest close hotel to the Vatican available so there is a need to book early if any Vatican events are scheduled that you wish to attend. The breakfast room is sunny and ultra modern and very adequate selection. The rooms reminded us of deluxe cruise ship staterooms with their convenient closet systems and very functional design. The beds were awesome and the views from the small balconies or windows were especially dramatic of St. Peter's dome at night! Car parking is available and we didn't drive during our stay so we relied on taxis once we arrived until we left. Area around Vatican is also a little safer and quieter than into the city of Rome. So if Vatican and its museums is a priority for a visit, or if you are looking for a nearby quieter and safer location for Rome itself, this hotel is ideal and highly recommended.

Our trip started off quite badly. It was my mum's birthday, we arrived the night before and found that my brother and I couldn't get into our room, while our parents room smelt of drains. It took an hour for the staff to move us to different rooms, and at this point it was gone midnight and my mum was welcoming in her birthday standing in a corridor.

To be fair the rooms we were moved to were really nice, much more modern than the ones we'd originally been given, even if they were smaller. They were just what we wanted; clean, modern, and comfortable. This is the ideal city/business hotel. The breakfast was excellent, and it's super close to the Vatican (we could see St Peter's Basilica from my parents balcony!

A great hotel if you're travelling on business, but definitely not a hotel for special occasions.
