the location of the hotel was great. right near the vatican. also there's a metro station 5 minutes walk, and the main square with buses 2 minutes walk. on the street there's few restaurants and bars, and many shops on the near by streets. on the hotel the staff was very kind and welcoming and the hotel is not expensive. we got a room on the second floor and we got there the free wifi from the reception, but the wifi in the rooms costs money. our room was on the main steet and you can hear the sounds of the street 24 hours a day. the heating didnt work at all, and the staff said thats the way it supposed to work (we didnt feel it or hear it). the jaccuzi was little bit dirty, but they have jaccuzi on every room. they swich towels and clean the room every day (and throw things they think it's garbage). the pick up service from the air port worked great. over all it's nice hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the back of the hotel because the street is very very loud all night.

Great location, reasonable rooms, friendly staff and the free pick up from the airport worked fine.

Breakfast was pretty standard but it's the location which is the selling point. Easy enough to get around and to return to to freshen up. Some pretty good restaurants nearby.

This is a great hotel in terms of location for Vatican City and local Metro. Although the hotel is rated as 4 star - I'm not sure if I would agree. The room we had was quite small and the decor was in need of an uplift. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you want a hotel which is close to the Vatican and nothing too fancy I'd recommend it.

The hotel is located near the Vatican, walking distance. Very friendly staff, beautiful location. We enjoyed the view of the Vatican while having breakfast every morning. The breakfast buffet was great.

We had a wonderful time at the Atlante. The room was spacious and the historic details throughout were really lovely. I loved it. The ceiling in the room was magnificent and the views were the best of all. The bathroom was beautiful with a large pedestal sink which I like, (although the Jacuzzi jets didn't look like they were very clean). There was a funny smell in the bathroom, which I think is due to improper venting of the waste line (?), but that didn't bother us as we didn't spend a lot of time in the bathroom.

The bar staff was not friendly. But the staff at the desk and in the breakfast room were excellent and they more than made up for the bar staff.

The small imperfections of the room (it is dated and on the dark side) were not important to us in the end. We had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The location is really ideal and the view of St. Peter's dome was magnificent. There was a great Bar/dessert/sandwich shop very close, on the corner, not too far away. This was the best place to stay in Rome in my opinion! Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was excellent!

Towels in bathroom were big and fluffy. Housekeeping was very attentive.

It was a wonderful trip. We traveled with our 2.5 year old son and had a wonderful time.

Room Tip: We had a beautiful view of the Dome on the main street side on the fifth floor. We never heard other...

The hotel located very close to St. Peter and Vatican. 10-minute walking distance to nearest metro station, 5 minutes - to tram and bus stop. Nice walking distance to piazza Del Poppolo and downtown. Just 20 minutes to piazza Navona. Summarizing- ideal location.
Very close to various stores.
Very nice and friendly staff, always ready to help, support and advice with easiest ways or options to proceed.

The location is the best part. And if you are travelling to Rome, you want to see the city, so you want the best location.

I found the staff to be very accomodating, professional, friendly and by the end of our trip they almost felt like family. Of all, Francesco at the front desk definitly takes the gold star for his helpful advice, tips on understanding the language and overall desire to help. Antonietta, the housekeeper for the third floor was an absolute gem, always smiling and friendly. The young man who replaced my refrigerator at 22:00 at night was also very helpful and friendly. The two bartenders, Ekaterina and Alessandra were young and beautiful and patient with an old man like me, and I was able to teach them how to make a proper gin martini.
The bar was always a nice place to wind down with other english-speakers after a full day walking around Rome. Speaking of which, we were able to walk nearly every where in the city from the hotel. We took the bus down to Trastavere and the Colliseum, but we know of a couple that walked to the colliseum. We even walked to the National museum from the hotel, but that was a bit far and we took the metro back. The hotel is close enough to the Vatican's transportation hub, with buses and metro all together. So even if you don't want to walk, getting to where you want to go is absolutly no problem, and the staff at the front desk will help you if you have any questions.
While the hotel is close to the Vatican and its transportation hub, it is surprisingly out of the way of almost all 'touristy' trappings. The hotel is also right by one of the main shopping districts, and so when we had some time to spare we would just stroll by all the fine shops for a while. The large market was perfect for getting our own supplies for the week, but there were so many nice Osterias and Trattorias nearby the hotel, we barely touched our groceries.
One of the biggest benefits to being just a little off the beaten path was that we were able to find places the locals went, just be walking down this street or that. Places where we didn't have to pay 'service fees' just for sitting down, and where if you try to speak a little bit of Italian, they treat you like family. If you like travelling to immerse yourself in the local culture, rather than bending the local culture to accomodate you, then the Atlante Garden is an ideal spot. It is close enough to everything to be convenient, yet far enough from everything to be immersive.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have amazing views. Rooms away from the front offer a bit quieter nights.
