“Great Hotel in Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2013

Wonderful family owned hotel in a great location. We stayed for 3 nights pre-cruise and 2 nights afterwards. Both visits were excellent. We had a superior room, which was very spacious and comfortable. Rooms have a mini-bar/frig, with plenty of room to store your own items. Wall safe and nice sized bathrooms with both of the rooms we occupied. The location is perfect. When they talk of a metro stop outside the front door, it is no exaggeration to say it is literally at their front door! The Rome metro is easy to use and the fact that the stop is right at your hotel (take the exit out of the metro towards the P Dante) allows you to come and go with ease all over Rome. Easy walk to Coliseum/Roman Forum. The public rooms in the hotel are very pretty, and the bar is a great place to relax and have a drink. The owner hosts a couple of "get-togethers " each week and it is fun to meet him and fellow guests. As others have noted, the staff at this hotel are fantastic. Roberto at the front desk was extremely pleasant and very informative. Also, they all have good recommendations for local restaurants, etc. The included breakfast is also great with a lot of food items and a pleasant staff.
This is a great hotel, and as to the neighborhood, it is fine and we never felt any security issues as some have mentioned. Also, Stefano who makes airport runs for the hotel is excellent and recommended for trips to and from the airport.
Really enjoyed the stay here and when in Rome again we will definitely stay here.

This hotel is family owned and run, and the attention to detail, with a willingness to please is evident in all areas. There is a concierge who is wonderful. He illustrates, with colored highlighters, on a map, to make sure the that map gives you "no fail" directions to the area that you need to visit. At the checkin desk, the gentleman who is there, is very helpful as well, answering questions about any manner of things. There is free wi-fi available in rooms and also in common areas. A safe is located within the room and will easily accomodate an iPad, plus a number of other valuables.

Accomodations are nice, clean and quiet considering the location near Termini and Coliseum. A Metro station is right outside the front. There is a park across the street.

Breakfast is included and wonderful with an assortment of meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, pastries, eggs, etc. They will even make you a cappuccino if you ask.

The owner, Roberto Cioce, had a small gathering in the bar area during our stay, to meet guests, and thank them for staying at his hotel. He also answered questions, and mentioned that the hotel has been in his family for several generations.

We stayed for 3 nights, and highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful place, exceptionally polite personnel, pretty content with it. I would like to recommend it to every couple who wants to indulge into the romantic atmosphere of Rome. It is an island of piece and tranquility right in the centre of a busy, ancient, full of vitality city.

My sister and I stayed for two nights in November 2013. Enjoyed everything about this hotel. The rooms were lovely and very clean. Breakfast was great. The lounge and bar area were very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I would like to give a special mention to Roberto the concierge who was exceptional. The metro is just a few steps from the hotel so getting around Rome was easy. We walked to the Coliseum. It was a 15 minute stroll from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful week at the Napoleon in October 2013, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Roberto, the manager, went out of his way to make sure people were enjoying your their at his hotel. We ate most of our meals at the hotel because the food was delicious Italian and inexpensive. We met many friendly travellers at happy hour every evening and we would highly recommend the Napoleon as a place to stay on your trip to Rome. We will most certainly return one day.

We stayed at the Hotel Napoleon for 3 nights Oct. 29-31, 2013. The staff of this Hotel beginning with check in to check out was outstanding. Could not ask for more regarding how they treat people to paying attention to detail and taking care of issues. The owner/manger Roberto Cioce is exceptional and you can see why this is a family owned business that strives for excellence. The breakfast buffet is also outstanding with many options of hot and cold foods. The rooms are very clean although small as are many European rooms. Subway station just steps outside the front door and bus travel within a few blocks. We walked to the Colloseum about 10-15 mins. away. Easy to get around the city with all the transportation and we walked all around even in the evening and felt safe. We would definetely stay there again and hope to do so soon.
