this place is a class act. it has old world charm, the top notch service of a st. regis property, and it is in rome. need i say more? the rooms are very well appointed - the bathrooms are roomy with lovely amenities. the only down side is if your room is on the street side it can be a bit noisy as windows are not sound proofed. we will definitely go back to this hotel....

Room Tip: ask not to be facing the main street.

We stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon and the room was lovely, Huge bed, excellent clean bathroom and the room always attended well every day. The location is fairly central and within walking distance of all the main tourist sites. The only negatives we had were the extortionate prices for drinks food etc. A coke and soda water were15 Euros and we would recommend many of the nearby bars and restaurants for much better value. The second was that the morning maid service began early with their trollies making a lot of noise and much talking outside our room each day waking us earlier than we would have liked.

Room Tip: We had a king bed deluxe room which was lovely - do request a room away from the main lifts for a it...

My wife and I went to Rome for our honeymoon. The St. Regis blew our expectations! THey were extremely freindly and helpful. The room was very spacius and the bed was very comfortable (at the end of the day that is what metters most). The highlight was the complimentary breakfast offered to platinum members. That saved us a lot of money and the food was just great! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: If you get a room on the south-east side you will get a view.

Dear Guests,
We would like to thank you for your brief but effective feedback and for highlighting the delicious experience of your buffet breakfast; a wide and accurate selection of local and international specialties, including vegetarian preferences and Bloody Mary cocktails.

With best wishes for a future of love and happiness!

Five nights in a butler-attended suite was just enough to convince me that this is the way I want to travel from now on. Unfortunately, $1500/nt hotels are not the norm for us, but the ability to use Starpoints as platinum members makes it doable more often. The very best thing about this hotel was the service; every staffer, every day was professional, friendly, and just made things happen. It's a St.Regis, so the suite, decor, bedding, dining, etc was as expected which is to say - wonderful. The location is in a busy part of town which may not suit those seeking great hilltop views or a more romantic locale, but we like to step out of the door and walk right into the life of the city. The stay was perfect, even down to the morning of our departure. We had a 6:00AM flight, and needed to leave by 4:30AM. Our butler woke us up with silver coffee service at 3:45 as requested; he and a porter showed up on time to take our bags directly to the limo that the concierge had arranged; the front desk clerk was waiting at the front door with our completed paperwork; and two of the doormen who we'd seen all week were waiting to bid us farewell, handing us bottled water on the way out. It was the kind of seamless service and attention to detail that makes an experience truly luxurious and memorable.

Room Tip: Splurge for a butler suite. The delivered morning coffee and breakfast, shoeshines, pressing, daily...

We have just stayed at the St Regis and it was a great hotel. Very opulent but never stuffy. The bedroom was large, which is a plus for Italy. The bed was so comfortable, wine and fruit in our room. Would recommend to families and couples. The only downside it can be a bit noisy sometimes outside early in the morning, but that's a busy city! We would definately stay here again.
We never got to the Spa, but it looked amazing, maybe next time.
Many thanks to all the staff.

I stayed for two nights in late Ootober 2012 and completely enjoyed the stay. From the moment I checked into room 429 until I checked out everything possible was done to make my stay perfect.

When I first arrived (early) the room was not yet ready. I was invited to enjoy a coffee or tea while I waited. In less than 1 hour they managed to get me a lovely room with a view of the fountain outside. The room was very large with a sitting area, separate dressing room, very large bath with 2 sinks, a tub and a shower. Also a flat screen TV with numerous channels appealing to most nationalities.

The bed and linens were comfortable. The bath amenities were so yummy that I actually took the few items that had not been used...and I almost never stockpile those items. The brand is Remede. The rooms were quiet and I didnt hear anything day or night.

My room rate included a breakfast buffet complete with bloody marys and mimosas. Also included were made to order egg items, french toast, various sausages and hams, smoked meats and fish, hot and cold cereals, fresh fruits, etc. You get the idea. I ended up eating a little heavier than normal for breakfast and going lighter the rest of the day. It made me feel better knowing I had walked off most of that food.

Speaking of walking, I found that this hotel was well located for my purposes. The Spanish Steps are about 15 minutes away. Ditto the Trevi Fountain. If you are a shopper stores are everywhere around you and Via Comdotti is about 17 minutes walk away. The train station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel if you are inclined. I took the Leonardo Express train from FCO for about 14€ and then a 5€ taxi ride to the hotel.

The service is tremendous! Everyone I encountered went out of their way to make sure I was enjoying the city and hotel. My experience at this hotel makes me want to return soon!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the fountain.
