The lobby is beautiful and the service in the lobby was very friendly and attentive. Our rooms were very nice and the beds wonderful but the shower flooded every time(other family members reported the same thing) and the maid service was not the best. They didn't always restock the minibar, left only one washcloth most nights, inconsistent on turndown service. Sometimes a wonderful box of cookies, but mostly nothing. One of the rooms tv remote did not work. We had 4 rooms so comparison was easy. We did not find the door staff to be particularly pleasant, maybe we were unaware of tipping amounts, although we did tip and if we didn't we made up for it the next time. We had a time in all of Rome getting coins, they always wanted correct change and we couldn't afford giving 5 euro tips to all. One of the doormen helped us very much. We stayed a whole week and didn't feel any closer to the doormen than when we arrived. Lastly, I have never stayed in a hotel,at least not above 3 stars, that would not cash a check. We were told by all about the pick pockets so we didn't bring much cash and thought we could get it in the hotel. Big mistake! Cash was a big problem. We had to go down the street to the ATM every day and the ATM would only give 250 euro a day and many days we needed at least 600 euro for day tours(we had 8 family members in our group) we had to juggle getting cash from everyone. Lastly, a lot of the shops did not take Visa so we couldn't buy anything in those. Only the big tourist spots. All in all it is a beautiful hotel but we feel compelled to point out our problems to the management so hopefully these things can be improved upon.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for sharing your impressions; we are sorry that you encountered some inconsistency in the room attendance and that the usual warmth and dedication of our entrance staff was somehow lacking. Please allow us to assure you that service is included and tipping is not necessary. We are already working with the Housekeeping and Concierge teams to make sure that your experience remains an isolated case and that our staff always represent the St. Regis values at the maximum level. We regret that you could not easily obtain cash during your visit with your family; indeed travelers checks can be exchanged at the Cashier desk, but there are fiscal law restrictions that must be respected and that impose limits to the amounts.
We trust however that you and your family could enjoy the many attractions of Rome and that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future to show you the result of our constant improvements.
Kind regards to all of you,
The hotel Manager

this hotel is fantastic! Everything from the front dest service, food, room, etc.The best dinner we had in Rome was in the hotel dining room. We had a standard room, nice size for europe. Very walkable to all the sites but not on top of the tourist areas. Would stay here again.

We stayed at the St-Regis for 4 nights. The hotel is very well located in Rome. We did walk to the Coliseum, the Trevi Fountain and even to St-Peter Cathedral. Service is what you can expect from a 5 stars hotel. I had my best meals in Rome at the their Vivendo restaurant where Michele and Marco give you and exceptional service. The wine food accord is very good at a very affordable price (for this quality). I really recommend the hotel and/or the Vivendo restaurant.
The Hotel is also very close to the Termini train terminal. Take the train from the FCO airport!! It's fast and reliable.

Room Tip: Take the train to termini from the airport, it's 700 meters from the hotel. If you can, walk Rom...

Dear Guest,
Thank you for highlighting our location, strategically equidistant to many tourist attractions and well connected with public transportation. Isn't it true that a dinner at Vivendo Restaurant is a most gratifying experience? With Michele dedication and expertise in suggesting tempting menus and Chef Francesco, passionately mixing only the best seasonal ingredients.
We can't wait until your next visit to your roman residence!
Once again, thank you,

"Awesome" was my first response. Not only was the lobby beautifully appointed, the hotel was also conveniently located. When we arrived mid-morning, we were treated to coffee and tea and a plate of cookies. While sipping our drinks, we relaxed for a few moments and planned what we wanted to visit. The concierge pointed out a few additional spots on a map and then we were on our way. Later in the day, the concierge was also helpful in giving restaurant suggestions.

When we returned, we were shown our upgraded suite. We've used our hotel points at Hyatt and Hilton hotels, but have never been upgraded to such an extent. Our room at the St Regis was elegant.

The sitting room, hallway, bedroom, walk-in closet and oversized bathroom were indeed a treat.

Our reservation included a visit to the breakfast buffet. The service at the restaurant was impeccable and we enjoyed a variety of tasty foods.

If you want to stay in the heart of Rome and would like to splurge on your accommodations, consider the St Regis. I doubt that you'll be disappointed.

The hotel was opulent and our rooms were pure luxury. It was right in the centre of Rome and the concierge recommended some of the best Italian restaurants in the city, tiny little places secluded from the hustle and bustle. Loved the massive rooms and bathrooms!

It is a wonderful hotel in the middle of the dreamland ... It was our honeymoon and it was great from the first moment ... Easy check in and a wonderful welcome at the room. The room is very clean and elegant. The service is superb and the staff is beyond description ... We will never forget GianLuca and Cristiano the chef every morning, with a welcoming smile and a nice " Bonjorno" ... The breakfast was great with a great varieties ...
We will definitely go back there in our next visit to Rome.
