“Excellent hotel in a good location near Central station”

This is a beautiful hotel in a really good location in Rome. It's walking distance to most things and very close to the central station whee the inter city trains depart. Staff were great and nothing was a problem for them.

Room Tip: Try and get a view of the square

it is very hard to find fault with this venerable institution, after all it is The St. Regis. It is time however to look at the rooms and furniture. Our room ,423, had a chipped leg on the nightstand, a table in the bathroom ( which was handy to have) in very poor shape, one of the glass pieces on the fixture broken, the water in the bathroom sink did not go down ( we never reported this to management), and the shower door did not fit tightly causing water to pour out.

I am a very frequent traveler and have been in SPG properties such as Hotel des Indes in The Hague, and the Grand Palace in Madrid. Both of these are far superior to the St. Regis. Just the nicety of an available cup of tea or coffee, prepared in the room in one case or brought to you (no charge) in the other makes the experience so much better.

We did appreciate the invitation for a coffee while waiting for our room to be ready, and the effort of the staff when faced with a hospitality strike the day we departed. For these reasons and the friendliness of the staff I am awarding 4 stars! The location is fantastic for walking anywhere.

My wife and I recently stayed at the St Regis while attending the Italian Open tennis tournament. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was of adequate size and nicely decorated. Internet was excellent. Overall an outstanding experience. You expect that with a Starwood Luxury Collection hotel that it will be a good experience. The St Regis met my fairly high expectations.

Room Tip: My room was on courtyard, no view. My friend's room was on street and had a small view but said...

Best hotel to stay at in Rome! The location is fantastic and walking distance to Trevi, Spanish steps and the metro station as well. The hotel is decorated with such elegance that you feel like you've stepped back in time. The rooms are high ceiling and very spacious with modern amenities!!

We had breakfast and dinner at the St. Regis and both were amazing and carefully prepared! The cappuccinos are amazing as well!

We were celebrating an anniversary and the staff at St. Regis added a nice touch by having some Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room which was pretty amazing!
If you're staying in Rome go to St. Regis you will be pleasantly surprised. .

Stayed here for two nights. Surprised my wife is she loved it. Had free upgrade and the room is like a palace. Big bathroom very classy. We also had 2 butlers. The service was amazing and the staff was very helpfull. Being a foody couple they know where the local eat and it was delicious. Highly recommended. Love it

I spent a week at the St. Regis in Rome. It was my first week long trip to Rome. The hotel is located very near the Piazza Republica, and an easy walk to most attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the service was good. My average rating is really more about the cost and St. Regis expectations. I have stayed in DC and NY locations, and this did not come even close to either. For the money, I would instead recommend the Westin on Via Venetto.

I recently holidayed with my family in Rome and had the pleasure of staying at the St. Regis Grand Hotel. It certainly lived up to its name. It is in a good location and it is easy to get around central Rome from the Hotel. The main seating area which includes the bar/dining and where breakfast is served is spectacular. You can spend time relaxing there as well as watching people come and go. The bedrooms are spacious and very well maintained. The staff are extremely friendly but professional and nothing is too much trouble for them.
We had the good fortune to meet Maurizio Chessa, Pierpaolo and Alessio [staff] in the evenings when we dined at the Bar and when our stay was over we felt we were leaving friends behind. They looked after us extremely well and we enjoyed our conversations with them. We will certainly visit this Hotel again.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor with connecting rooms. We did not experience any noise from outside.
