We've stayed here twice and the hotel has on both occasions exceeded our expectations. Rooms, Serivce, and Food is truly five star and worth the price compared to other options in Rome. The hotel is an elegant palace, each room is unique and tastefully decoarated with classical art. The staff is eager to go out of their way in a quite professional way. Yes you will pay a price that is well worth the quality you will receive.

We stayed at the St. Regis for 3 nights in late Sept. '09. We walked to the hotel from the Termini train station as it's very close. We were very tired from a long difficult trip. The person who checked us in, Angelo, was not what I would call gracious. He assigned us to a room very far away and so small we had to almost turn sideways to pass between the bed and armoire I called down to ask for another room and taken to a lovely room much closer to the lobby. This room was beautiful and like the ones in the photos. The bathroom is large and modern. but we found the location less than ideal. We might stay there again with points, but not for cash.

The St. Regis Grand hotel is in a great location to tour Rome. We used our Starwood Points (20,000 per night). We had a nice room, big for european standards. The bathroom was large with a full shower, bathtub, toilet and bidet. The room was dark (black out shades) and quiet, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Don't even think about eating in the hotel, as it's ridiculously expensive. The breakfast looked delicious, but was 41 euros. They definately get you on using any of their ammenities, for instance if you want to use an iron to press your shirt, they don't have them (claim it's a fire hazard), but they'd do it for 10 euros. Are you kidding me, thats $16 to iron a t shirt? Don't use the internet there, find an internet cafe in the area. They don't offer any coffee to guests unless you want to pay 6 euros for an expresso. Oh and don't dare eat the nuts in the mini bar, or that will cost you $11 for a 3oz jar. Would stay there again, but only if I did it with points, otherwise I'd consider it overpriced.

Booked this hotel as part of package through Expedia. Would never have considered it otherwise, given the standard published room rates are beyond my normal price range. Given the pricing package, the St. Regis was a true bargain for the level of service and accommodations we received. After racing around Rome from sight to sight, it was such a relief to enter the grand lobby and relax in our supremely comfortable room, which was large and luxurious in its furnishings and decor. The bathroom was also roomy with both a bathtub and separate shower. The concierge provided wonderful restaurant recommendations and all of the staff were courteous and friendly. Just steps from the Republica Metro station, it was easy to get around the city and we felt safe returning to the hotel at night. I had a fabulous stay!

This hotel was like staying in a palace! The rooms were beautiful and even had artwork. The bathroom was slightly small but just as amazing as the room. The St. Regis is one of my favorite hotel chains and this was by far the best I have ever stayed at. The hotel is centrally located and very close to the train station. Absolutely worth the splurge!!

The food was inspired by the Bloody Mary and the ravioli deserved a second helping. The KamiSpa i think its called, massage was relaxing. The staff were very helpful especially at the door. Stefano was the best. Plan to go back next year!
