Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

I have just returned from a city break with my partner. The hotel was clean and room was lovely, big, bath and shower, free air con and safe in the room. Staff were excellent very helpful, informative and friendly great place to relax after a hard days sightseeing. I hope I have the chance to visit this hotel again. Well done and thank you for an amazing time.

Me and my husband have just returned from our 4 day trip in Rome.
This hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I will now give you reasons why.
Before my arrival I sent an email requesting a high floor, room facing courtyard and preferably one of the larger rooms. The response came back within hours saying that all had been noted down.
We arrived at 11am (3 hours before check-in) but this was not a problem as our room was ready (if your room is not ready you can leave your bags behind reception and begin exploring until it is). When we were shown our room it was obvious to see that all of my requests had been dealt with. The room was amazing! Large hallway with wardrobe, bathroom including both a bath and shower! And a very spacious bedroom. The windows could be opened wide and this was perfect for late evenings with a glass of wine to watch the nights sky! The mini bar was fully stocked which was a nice surprise and we had an in room safe free of charge too.
The hotel couldn’t be anymore helpful! We had a trip booked to Pompeii that left at 6.45am and breakfast started at 6.30am! (Only 15 mins to eat) until we saw that you can book in for early breakfast. We chose 6am and it was peaceful and perfect for the extra 30 mins!
We drank every night in the bar as it was open till 12am. Drinks were very cheap and it is the perfect nebbing spot if you like that sort of thing.
The staff are all extremely helpful and they all speak such good English. I couldn’t single out one person in particular as they are all amazing!
The hotels location is key to seeing the sites! The coliseum was down the street only 5 mins walk! We only discovered the metro on day 2 which is located outside the hotel. There are only two lines so it is sooo easy to get around. 1.50 euros for a single one way or 6.00 Euro for an all day ticket (well worth the money). This got you to every site including the Vatican City which is on the opposite end of Rome.
I had only two concerns before arriving at this hotel. 1. The large groups mentioned on reviews and 2. The small lifts that take ages. I can confirm that the groups are no trouble at all and you don’t even see them all together and as for the lifts yes they are small but I never waited longer than 30 seconds for it ….!
To sum up my entire stay it has been amazing. Thank you Hotel President for all that you did for us during our stay. You all truly deserve a pat on the back and I hope that the manager reads this. Continue doing what you do and do not listen to any bad review!
I could take for hours about our brilliant experience here but I will leave you to book up and see for yourselves!
Kind regards
JWalton

Room Tip: High floor, facing courtyard and large room purely for the view of the moon and peace

I am very shocked and disappointed to discover that the Internet quality is so bad at this hotel especially we are in the heart of Europe, I cannot accept such a service when the Internet quality in West Africa is 100y better and no comparison to this place. A simple email cannot be opened, nothing works..I called the front desk to complain and was told that there are too many users using the Internet which is something unacceptable because you can get a 155Mbps connection for a very low price.

I will never come back here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a reliable and stable Internet connection that works.

Dear Bassam A,
Thanks for your e-mail.
I am sorry our wi-fi service did not meet your expectations and is not to be compared even to the Western Africa one.
Our collegue at the reception explained the reason why this misfunction may occur.
When our hotel is at its full occupancy and if many clients are connected at the same time, connection can be slower.
I apologize for the discomfort caused.
Kind regards.

We had an excellent stay here for 3 days during first wek of June.spacious room and good breakfast.right next door to station Manzoni, so very coveninient for sightseeing. Hardly 10 to 15 min walk to the coliseum from here. The lady who served us cappuccino every day deserves a special mention. ms. Barbara at the front desk arranged the pick up and drop from ad to the airport for around $55 and $48 and was very helpful . All the staffs were good and they also had baggage storage which made our life easier when we travelled to Florence and Venice from Rome. Over all we had a pleasant stay and definitely recommend the hotel.

We found this hotel to be superior to any we have stayed in during our time in Italy! The room was very large and updated... we had 4 people and it was not crowded. The breakfast was excellent...lots of variety which you usually don't find. Great location and in a safe area. Close to metro, bus, and trolley line so it was very easy to get around Rome. I would definitely stay here again!

Group of 4 stayed on personal recommendation. Staff brilliant. Rooms spacious, clean and well airconditioned. Dont expect exciting views as most seem to back onto a courtyard of flats. Ideal location as inside the walls so fixed price taxi for Euro48 from airport. Probably 15 min walk from station and Colliseum. Interesting that bar has good snacks but you have to pre-book restaurant before 2pm so dont depend on it for arrival night. Looked ok but little used for evening meals. Breakfast very good including eggs and bacon.

We were part of a group & arrived at this pleasantly situated hotel by coach rather than by walking it with our cases. Very spacious & welcoming with a bar where we could order dinner & drinks until late. Our room was on the third floor overlooking the rear, which consisted mainly of high trees rising up from a quiet courtyard-altogether a lovely room with decorations & aircon-essential for that siesta & to sleep well at night to withstand the burning heat of Rome during the days to follow that were to be 40 deg,C! Even the locals found this sapping. Within an easy & not noisy walk alongside a dual carriageway, the Colosseum was found within about 15 mins. Altogether we enjoyed Rome, taking an open-top bus ride, staying on it for its two trips so we knew where to drop off near the Vatican next time around.. We enjoyed the hotel's superb lemon soda cool drinks-altogether a relaxing place just to be there. Close to the Metro may have suited others but there was no noise at all from any other moving object-an ideal place to stay-that is why Treyn Tours chose it to be our holiday gateway to Italy-our next stay would be in Sorrento-a little cooler-not much though, by the idyllic sea of the Amalfi Coast-another adventure!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back overlooking the courtyard & on the 3rd floor or above-that way you wi...
