While February is not high season in rome, we had to wait for our room until 2.30pm. The room was very clean and adequate size, the maid service was excellent. One thing I don't understand about Italian (and European hotels in general), you need to ask for tea kettle and tea cups, and while staying at this property, after the second time request we were informed that all available kettles were already given away, and we were offered a very small tea pot with hot water. The elevator is very small. The restaurant staff at breakfast was not very welcoming and kind of slow, and sometimes you had to ask them for tea/coffee. The breakfast was OK, some ham, cheese, bread and buns, muesli etc. The coffee as some other reviewers have already mentioned is not good, probably the worst coffee I have tasted in Italy. As for location, it takes about 15 minutes to get to Termini, and 5-7 minutes to the nearest subway station.

We stayed at the Artdeco for a 3 night trip to see the sights of Rome, 10 minute walk from the railway station in a quiet street, and close to bus stops for the centre. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful, all spoke some English, which was useful as our Italian is poor to useless! The hotel decor is superb, we loved the attention to detail and the whole ambience of the place. Large room, more the size of a suite, with very comfortable beds which were very welcome after walking miles each day. The option for tea and coffee making facilities in your room is there at no extra cost and restocked daily. The breakfast was very good, choice of eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, rolls, pastries, fresh fruit and more, and plenty of it buffet syle. Although the hotel was full while we were there the buffet was kept topped up and fresh. Really enjoyed our stay, good location and would certainly stay there again and recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Art Deco as a family of three in February. We found the staff friendly and welcoming on arrival, the hotel being well placed to Termini Station (10mins walk). Our room was a good size for a city hotel and adequate for 3 with tv and decent bathroom. There was a bus (number 62) which passed near the hotel stopping at the end of the road which was handy for returning from the city centre at the end of the day. Breakfast was good with a choice of eggs, ham cheese, breads, cake etc and serving staff were helpful serving a choice of coffees. Only problems we had were we requested a kettle in the room but one was not available until the day after arrival, there were no instructions for the room safe so we struggled with that until reception supplied new instructions and on departure someone had charged drinks to our room, but this was deducted straight away when it was pointed out. We would definitely stay again.staff were helpful at all times and sorted out all concerns promptly.

I stayed here with friends in August & it was even better than I had expected.
The location is very central - a short walk to Temini station so great if you're travelling around by train - also this is where all of the tour buses/hop-on hop-off buses start from.
There are a lot of restaurant options within 5-10 minute walk from the hotel as well.
We had a triple room which was huge with plenty of room for 3 of us & our luggage.
I would stay here again & would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

Hotel is pretty quite close to Station Termini. We walked for 10-15 minutes to get to the hotel. Room is quite big and you would be surprised by the bathroom too. You can enjoy a nice bath there. We were staying on the top floor and we had to change a lift to reach that floor. Other than that, everything was good.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days, last week of July. It's a 10 minute walk from Termini train station (if you're here during summer it feels longer due to Rome's extreme hot weather). The neighborhood is quiet and safe ( Turkish and UK embassies just infront). Some of the main attractions ( Fontana di Trevi, Santa Maria Maggiore, etc..) are within a 20 minute stroll.

The staff at the front desk are helpful and professional, they couldn't give us a room for early check-in, so they offered to keep our luggage and gave us some dining suggestions ( the trattoria La Famiglia around the corner serves good pizza).

The room was the largest we had in our European summer trip (after Paris and Venice), cleaned everyday, free wi- fi in the rooms.

The free breakfast is really good, loved the croissants. But one night we decided to have dinner at their restaurant, but what a mistake, I ordered the pasta with mushrooms, and just had 2 bites, I wasn't able to eat it. Since we were more tired then hungry, we did'nt complaint. To my surprise, the manager noticed what happened, and they didn't charge us. Really nice touch! Thank you!
