Very old hotel in a very convenient location. Walking distance to Spanish steps as well as Trevi Fountain. Lots of eating places around as well as taxi stand and metro stop very close to the hotel. Reception desk and concierge service were very efficient and very welcoming too. The room was clean and comfortable but since we were on the road level facing Via Veneto, we could hear people talking as they passed by as well as traffic noise, but it wasn't terribly bad. The bathroom was quite huge, by European standards, but a bit antiquated, and the only one thing I did not like was the fact that the water in the bathtub would not drain away fast enough. The breakfast is pricey and the room service has a 10 Euro charge per person over and above the total price. We preferred to have our breakfast outside, somewhere more economical.

This is a beautiful hotel located in the center of Rome on Via Veneto. It is a short walk (10 minutes to the Spanish steps) to most locations in Rome. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are kept clean. The hotel personnel are wonderful in helping to assist with directions and great restaurants to go to. The only complaint I had about this hotel is that if your room is on the first floor it will probably be very noisy. We were on the first floor under the restaurant and in the front of the building. When buses or trucks drove by on Via Veneto the room would shake. During the night you would hear the chairs and tables being moved upstairs in the restaurant. I would suggest that if you are booking here to ask for a room on the third floor to eliminate the noise problem. The restaurant is also outrageous for breakfast - 30 Euros just wasn't worth it. There are plenty of lovely cafes right outside the hotel where you can get breakfast for much less. Also, make sure that if you take a taxi to the hotel you tell them to pull into the hotel in front. Some taxis did not want to do this. Overall it was a great location to be in Rome.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room on the third floor in the back of the hotel if you would like a quiet room...

I was out at the Majestic due to an overbooking at the hotel I made a reservation for. The hotel was an interesting place to spend a night.

You feel like your stepping back in time when arriving at the Majestic. Decor in the common areas and rooms is not dated but feels like you may have read about this hotel in its hay day. Friendly staff welcomes you and is attentive. Rooms are comfortable. The location is very good as a base for sightseeing.

The Majestic was classy and very charming and more importantly it had a great location in Rome. We were able to walk to the Spanish Steps as well as the Trevi Fountain.

The service was great and what we especially liked was that the dinner recommendations they gave us were NOT to the typical tourist place. They came up with two awesome places. The first night we had a great meal at Tritone and the second night an amazing meal at Lagana.

The Majestic is a great place for both business and pleasure.

Room Tip: We had a Jr Suite which was great!

This is a wonderfully elegant, almost sumptuous hotel that makes you feel slightly like you've stepped back to an elegant previous era. It is grand and beautiful inside. The terrace where you can have breakfast on the first floor is just a perfect way to start the day.

Service was friendly and helpful and the food (I had breakfast and lunch) was both fabulously presented and very tasty.

Clearly not the cheapest of hotels, but a real treat.
