This hotel is on the fringe of the city and an EASY 8 minute walk to the centre of the town. No taxis or transport required to reach shopping and attractions.
From the moment the porter promptly unloaded our bags and welcomed us , we knew we were in for a pleasant stay. The reception area lived up to its name and the hotel staff were able to speak English. A speedy check in process and we were exploring the corridors of this beautiful establishment. It was spotless, the walls were not afraid to be white in colour and wherever you looked, glass sparkled, tiles gleamed and furniture was polished. The walls had fabulous photos and we had fun placing the people and events some were depicting. Through our white door, into our room we walked, very happy with things thus far. We were standing in a spacious, beautifully fitted out (for a hotel) room. The bathroom was well equipped with a delightful shuttered window. The shower was hot and strong. The towels were thick and fluffy. The bed was dreamily comfortable, with pillows just the way we liked them. All the hard furnishings were in glossy white and matching with ample storage and a cleverly concealed table top. Through our window we could see the sights of Rome below and around us. Dinner in the Hotel restaurant was first class. The waiter was professional and friendly as he told us about the amazing restored art on the ceiling. Breakfast was included, also delicious and ample. The outside dining area was refreshing and great for us all to catch up with a drink after some serious shopping. It was in this wonderful al fresco space that there was one tiny drawback... pigeons. Although they did not worry us personally, they were being bothersome to some diners. The staff were immediately on hand to disperse them and apologetic as they were somewhat helpless (except for a spray water bottle which worked well) against these pesky birds.
All in all we would highly recommend the Hotel Majestica Rome. Our room was a double deluxe room. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and the tariff reasonable for this type of stay. It truly was a wonderful hotel and we will definitely stay there again next time we visit from Australia. Bravo!!
