Trying to be fair here...It was cheap and we got what we paid for.
The hotel website photos were certainly taken by a talented photographer.
The bed was comfortable.
The WiFi was great.
Breakfast was serviceable and coffee was good.
Location really close to train station.
Hotel was a little rundown and shabby.
A few long dark hairs amongst the bedding.
Toilet jammed hard up against the sink. Shower curtain stained. No mini bar or safe in our room.
Front desk friendly enough.

We booked for two nights...left after one. Front desk didn't ask why and we didn't ask for refund.

OK for budget travel but we wanted a bit more.

As other people remarked, the Kennedy Hotel has a very convenient position. But it is situated at a crossroads of two streets with heavy traffic, night and day, and you have plenty of noise and difficulty to get a real good sleep.
Besides, right under of my room (number 112) window were three big size dustbins and early in the morning and late night people are throwing garbage in them, with the noise associated to the collecting it as well.
Your room may not be like the one shown in the gallery! They say you will have a flat TV. Instead, I had a TV set produced probably in the last quarter of the XX-th century, which long ago had to be replaced. Anyway, you had a choice of less than ten programs, most of them Italian, but only one or two with a clear image.
They say you have free wi-fi everywhere in the hotel but the signal is too weak into the room so you have to get to the ground floor in order to use your device.
But the worse thing was the bathroom. Imagine if you could put together the shower, the sink and the toilet seat in a cubicle of 1,5 meters by 0,70 meters? They could! See the pictures. But it’s probably very difficult for you to imagine yourself using the three of them. Trust me, you need a lot of skill.
Such a bathroom size is probably even under all the standards of any hotel.
Now, about the breakfast. The cheese plate is the smallest you can imagine. It is well hidden and very well safeguarded, all the time. Most of the time it is almost empty and slowly refilled. But even when it has something on it, all you get are some cheese flakes the size of a postal stamp and the same thickness. Because of that, the fork does not even retain one. The coffee given to you is kind of clear dark brown water. You can see through it the sugar on the bottom of your cup.
Instead, if you don’t have too much sugar in your blood and if you like the home-made cookies and pastries, you have a choice. And a good cappuccino.
Otherwise, the room is big enough, clean and cleaned daily, good towels, very polite and helpful staff.
The Rome itself is as wonderful as ever. You can visit it as many times as you wish, you will always find something new and beautiful. Despite the data in calendar, the city is full of tourists. The Colosseum is right now in process of restoration and cleaning.
And if you get hungry, around Roma Termini (main railway station) you can find a few Indian restaurants, operated by Bangladesh people and serving a wide choice of freshly made good Italian pasta!

The hotel was pleasant, the staff were very friendly & welcoming. They provided very good information & recommendations The hotel was not situated in the best location, and the transfers to and from the airport could do with improving, it was all rather confusing, but we made it to and from the airport without too many complications.
Breakfast could offer more variety, maybe some eggs and ham, there was very little choice.
It was disappointing to find no tea or coffee facilities in rooms or a fridge.
The bedrooms were cleaned daily which was a bonus, it would have been nice to have cable tv to switch on and too relax too after long days if sight seeing.

We booked this hotel as part of a package, based on price and location. The location is excellent for Termini railway station and the bus terminus but there are some other advantages such as the proximity of restaurants just out side the front door. There were some people hanging out in the street but we didn't bother them and they did n't bother us. The room we were allocated was on the 5th floor and contained 2 single beds. The only downside to the room was that there was no window with a view - there was a small frosted window which looked out from the back of the property with an uninspiring view. This did not really bother us as we were there only for 4 nights. The bathroom was fine with a good shower. Both room and bathroom were clean. The best part was that after a day roaming around Rome we slept well in a very quiet room. one further point to note is that the room had heating which worked well. As for Breakfast we were satisfied with the selection and the service. Bead rolls croissants, cereal yoghurt and juice were all provided. Overall our stay was restful and if we visit Rome again would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the inside were very quiet.

The benefit of staying at the Hotel Kennedy is that it's near the Central Train Station. A very easy short walk which is a plus given the exorbitant prices taxi's charge at the Station. That part of town is a bit seedy. Not the cleanest and the element is questionable. However, we found it to be the most convenient area for a stay which lasted 2 nights before we went onto our next destination.

The negatives were the old beds (springs stuck in my back), old sheets, old bed covers, and a limited breakfast. I've been to Italy enough to know that the breakfasts are different from the USA and not complaining about the European style breakfasts. It's just that the options were not as ample as other hotels not too far from the Kennedy.

Room Tip: A room on the side street

We used the Kennedy Hotel as our base while in Rome between our travels to Southern and Northern Italy. The staff were lovely. The first morning we stayed we had an early tour booked before breakfast started but they ensured we had a croissant to take away with us.

The hotel is located one street back for the train station which made travel north via train very easy. Even though it is close to the train station, you cannot hear the trains. It is also conveniently located near attractions.

Some rooms are nicer than others: Room 30 had a nice view of the street with little noise of passing traffic. However the shower over the bath didn't drain properly. Room 80 had a view of the park beside the hotel but this was marred by the rubbish piled by the side of the road. The internet in this room was slower than the others we stayed in. Room 144 only window was of the roof (not pretty). The bathroom was very narrow in this room. Not ideal if you're claustrophobic.

Room Tip: Ask for street view.

Where to start !!
The hotel is situated in an area of Termini station that is quite unsafe at night. Drug dealers, drunk bums and street people that are looking for problems and can be very noisy at night.

The room was disastrous. Spider webs were on the corners of the ceilings and specks of dust and other dirt was clearly visible all over the room and bathroom floors. The lock to our door was broken and the room couldn't be locked so we had to sleep with a chair blocking the room entrance.

We were staying at the top floor with apparently "best rooms", I can't even imagine how the "normal rooms" are if this is the case.

Service was non existent and the guy at the table had a take it or leave it attitude with everything we asked. I do want to point out though that the only positive thing about this place was the lady working there. I think she was the manager or something. She was really nice and helpful even though there was not much that she could do about the rooms.
