We stayed at Hotel Galileo from Monday to Friday in room 305, we got the Ryanair bus from the airport and arrived a stones throw away from the hotel, we followed directions given to us from the bus dispatcher who was very helpful, with this help we came across the hotel within minutes walking down to the front of the hotel it felt like we was walking into a car park, but the front door soon appears on the left. The young lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming, check in was nice and swift, we went to our room in the worlds slowest lift but we were on holiday so no rush! First look at the room reveals a nice sized room and bed, a spotlessly clean bathroom. Your key provides the electricity in the room which I do not blame the hotel for doing but it was a pain as it kept switching its self off and was a pain to actually get on!
We then started to explore Rome we asked for a map on reception and she pointed out where we were etc, we firstly thought that we were miles away from everything but we couldn't have been more wrong, we walked everywhere, the hotel was in a safe location with restaurants, shops and a supermarket all close by. We was offered a free transfer to there restaurant but reading bad reviews on TA we didn't bother.
The beds felt rock hard but they wasn't to bad, the room was very hot, we turned the radiator off straight away and had the air con most of the time? the rooms only had one English Channel but is that the end of the world? The worst thing about this hotel was the noises from other guest, the walls must have been thin but other guest were way to loud!
Breakfast was a continental which was very good loads of fruit, ham, cheese, eggs, yogurt, toast, cereals and a selection of pastries. Very happy and friend lady who served in the breakfast room.
Checkout was very pain free. In conclusion I would happily recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.
