My wife and i are joining a cruise for our Silver wedding anniversary and decided to go to Rome 5 days before our cruise to savor Rome. The hotel is very near Rome Termini Station. It has a nice hot buffet breakfast. The front desk personnel are nice and considerate. They even let us leave some of our baggage for safekeeping since we will be returning after our 7 days cruise. We also book thru Viator our trip to Naples, Sorrento and Capri. The hotel is one of the places the agency will pick you up for the tour.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and it tends to be noisy.

We stayed here for three nights early December 2013. We arrived early, in the hope that we would be allowed to leave our bags so we could go off around Rome, but to our surprise they checked us in early and off we went to our room. Very nice people. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nicely tidied up every day while we were out. There was a bit of a rumble from the metro which must run directly under the hotel, but hardly noticeable after a long day of sightseeing. Only one very small gripe was that the scrambled eggs on our last morning were looking sad and cold and not at all appealing, and everyone was having look, turning over with a spoon and then going off to toast some bread or get a croissant, but the eggs were not changed for the half hour or more that we were having breakfast that day. Other than that I would have given this hotel a 5. I would have no hesitation in returning.

For being in a budget deal package, the hotel was reasonable. The twin bedroom (on the second floor) was comfortable and clean if a little noisy (as the hotel itself is in the vicinity of several restaurants. The staff (bar one on our first night) were helpful and no request seemed beyond them. For the price we paid, we received everything we wanted and therefore it delivered on quality and price.

Breakfast (which was included) was disappointing. For those who woke slightly later, you received stale bread and rubbery eggs which wasn't always replenished.

The hotel was close to the main train station Termini but a bit of a walk from the sights although that was a good way of burning of calories from the local cuisine.

All in all it was a nice hotel with disappointing breakfast, reasonable service (if you asked) and comfortable room.

This hotel is some what out of the way of the centre of Rome although in saying that there is the train/bus station a few minutes walk away if you want to go out of the area.

The hotel itself was ok, it seemed at times that we were an inconvenience for the check-in staff who all displayed their usual italian dismissive charm! There are 2 lifts which constantly broke down while we were there so the stairs were the way to and from your room for many of the guests.

Breakfast was included in the price of the hotel room which I have to say there was plenty of,... a good choice in different foods and hot/cold drinks, it was a great way to start your day.

Our room was dark even with the lights on. The bathroom shower was problematic as the water would run across the window ledge down on to the basin wetting everything you had on there before making it's way on to the floor, you then had to mop up the water with the towels as it was everywhere.

All in all it's not a bad hotel,... it's not a great hotel it's more of a 3 star hotel in our opinion. Would I go back there,... probably not.

Room Tip: Avoid room 606 unless you want to mop up after every shower

We stayed here for my wife's 50th birthday and my daughters 18th birthday. We had requested balcony rooms and advised hotel of pending birthdays several weeks before our stay. We were pleased to find that we had nieghbouring sixth floor rooms with large balconies, they were amazing. The staff were wonderful, very helpful with any requests. My wife and daughter were delighted to find bottles of prosecco on ice in Champagne buckets in our rooms which we enjoyed whilst sat on the balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities were supplied upon our request and fresh milk appeared each day along with more tea and coffee. As we checked out of hotel at 4am, we were provided with breakfast boxes for our journey home. I can not praise hotel staff enough, they were wonderful.
