“Experience ruined by poor insulation, not worth this money”
Reviewed 24 May 2012

We chose this hotel following tripadvisors good recommendations but I have to say it doesn't reflect some realities.
First of all, forget late-morning sleep as there is simply no noise insulation from doors, and corridors which do not have any carpet and the elevator create noise resonance.
Second, and opposite all other hotels we've been to during the trip (6 in total), service was far below what one would expect from a four-star hotel. You didn't feel privileged at any moment.
Thirdly, breakfast was more a three-star hotel breakfast (juice from concentrate, horrible scrambled eggs), despite good service from the breakfast hotel.
Finally, like most hotels in Rome, it's overpriced given the overall experience.
On the upsides, decent location close to Termini and metro station, and affordable drinks & snacks at the bar

Room Tip: Ask for a room at one the the building's extremes (it's U shaped with the elevator in the ce...

Just returned from 4 days in B W Canada, what a lovely, spotlessly clean hotel, the decor was fantastic. Our room 504 was lovely with a balcony overlooking the courtyard, not scenic but it was nice to be able to open the books. The general areas are all very tastefully decorated with a mix of old and new styles in the way that Itallians know how to do so well. The downstairs ladies toilet has got to be one of thecleanest and nicest loos I have ever used, loved the tiles. The breakfast area is a little small and sometimes we had to wait for a table but that is the only very minor problem. Everything else was spot on. The hotel booked us a taxi back to the airport and ththe driver was great we wish we had met him earlier as I am sure we would have learnt even more, he said he did tours to suit.
If you are going to go to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel you must try to book your tix on line in advance it costs 4e more but be walked straight in for our 9.00 time slot and it was not too busy but there were very long queues outside in the rain.
We would highly reccommend Mammma Angela's to eat just turn right and it is the second left turning and you can see it on Via Palestro we went 3 times and would have gone even more but we ran out of time, David the manager and all his staff were fantastic not cheesy or full of silly chat they were just first class waiters who served lovely food and very sensible prices.
You really do need flat comfortable shoes/trainers for all the uneven/cobbles roads.
the other resaurant we came across one day weas the Berzitello on Via delle Quattro Fontane which was a nice pizza restaurant with a colourfull decor.
I am sure anyone will enjoy this hotel we certainly did, and would return in the blink of an eye.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony if it is important to you, also ask for tea and coffee making faciliti...

I have stayed here over four times now and it has everything I need for a stay in Rome. The location is within a walk from Termini station. There is also a metro stop just on the corner of the street. The rooms are clean and 'old school grand. ' There is plenty of choice for breakfast and the cappuccini are really good here.
I stayed once when my partner had their 40th birthday, we returned to the room after a day out to find a little present and some champagne from the hotel. It was a lovely gesture especially as this only came up in passing in conversation. I would always stay here everytime I return to Rome.
My last trip here was in August 2011.

Stayed here September 2009.
Within walking distance of the train station and the hop-on, hop-off tour buses that take you around Rome. Check-in was easy and pleasant. Staff spoke English but were willing to let me practice my Italian on them. Room was large, with king bed, sofa, desk and lots of room for our luggage. Bathroom was the biggest we had in Europe. Our luggage was lost and the front desk provided hair elastics, comb, razor and other items without extra charge. In room safe large enough to hold our laptop.
Our breakfast was included and was very nice. Lots of pastries, bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal, yogurt--a very nice range of items.
For the price and location we would stay here again.

This hotel is beautiful , it deserves a better name to reflect the immaculate gleaming marble and perfect furnishings of this so Italian elegant establishment .Our room was almost a suite with a small separate lounge area and large bathroom.Breakfast was a treat with the best pastries I have found anywhere and marvelous staff, everyone was so helpful.
Surrounding streets have a selection of Tratorrias and Ristorantes, with reasonably priced meals.
Via Vincenza is a 10 minute direct walk to Temini.
No bar fridge but the lobby bar is both elegant and well priced.

Room Tip: Our room opened onto an inner courtyard and was quiet.

This hotel is located only 5 blocks from the main train station in Rome and within the same walking distance from the Piazza della Republica. We had an upgraded room that could either be a king or twin beds. There is a canopy and antique furniture. There is a small television and a safe. The bathroom is spacious.

The lobby has a lovely seating area and a small bar. The has light snacks and the drinks are very reasonably priced.

There is a very pleasant breakfast room and the breakfast buffet has both hot and cold items. The food was plentiful and delicious.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were small but well decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast offered a good selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, eggs, yogurt, etc.. Great proximity to the Metro and Train Station (Termini). The shower set-up was a bit awkward, with the shower head being mounted on the long side of the tub, but we made it work. The bar set out free snacks each night and the drink prices were very inexpensive. We would be happy to stay here again.
