Me and my husband booked the busiest easter weekend in Rome at Marriott Flora, and it has been an excellent experience overall! We would like you all forum readers that the place was awesome, the junior suite is great value, the breakfast has been sooo good, and the staff really above expectations: Thank you so much Massimo, Bernardo and all the girls there; their help and advice have been so helpful to get oriented in Rome, especially for us first time visitors:
We asked them many things, almost mission impossible like, such as finding for us a last minute guide with no line entrance to the Colosseum&Vatican, they made a phone call and that was all, the guide came in less than 30 minutes from our last minute request, with tickets and all, and it was a highly trained and knowledgeable guide from Rome, all for us in a private tour. Trust your Marriott staff, if they managed to find a guide and a good tour on Easter day, they can do everything. Thank you so much again, we are most definitely booking the next trip to Rome through Marriott Flora.

This hotel was built in 1905...therefore in spite of renovations and obvious updating, rooms can be small to what American travelers might expect from Marriott full service hotels. But the location is excellent. Personnel at hotel very knowledgeable and helpful. Free business or traveler internet. Great breakfast on rooftop restaurant with very nice views.

Room Tip: Ask for another room if available if not satisfied.

Our 5 night stay at the Marriott Grand Flora was relaxing and good. I took a lovely bubble bath every night in the large tub. We must have walked 10 miles every day, many on steps, so the soak was wonderful! Our window looked out over a beautiful park and the old Roman City wall. 4th floor. We could see the sunrise and sunset if we wanted to. One night we watched a big fireworks show out the window. It was quiet and comfortable. We really missed an in-room coffee maker, however. All the Marriotts in the States have one, so we were disappointed to not have one. No big deal--you could get complimentary coffee in the lobby from 6 to 9am. Our room class did not get the breakfast included, and at 30 Euros per person, we did not eat in the roof top restaurant. But go up there and take in the view! Not too many reasonably priced restaurants in the area that we could find, but we did ok. We hate spending a lot of money on food--we are rather thrifty types. I would rather spend the money on a nice room, and the Grand Flora is expensive. The beautiful park next door is good for walking and jogging. A major art museum, the Villa Borgese, is right in the park--an easy walk. The Metro is very close by so you can get anywhere easily. Spanish Steps are nearby and the Trevi Fountain is a doable walk if you are fairly fit. April is not so busy, so we enjoyed crowd-free museums and no lines at major sites. It did rain some, so bring umbrellas if you go in the spring. Not that warm for us either, but it can be warm in April so pack clothes you can layer and a good raincoat. An excellent choice for Rome if you want to get good sleep and be comfortable when not touring the city. And that is what a hotel is all about, right?

We spent three great nights at the Grand Flora. To start with, the location was superb. We saw every typical tourist sight there is, and never took a cab. With that said, the hotel is not in too busy an area.
The rooms are spacious by European standards, kept very clean and are maintained well. The staff was professional and helpful. The management of this hotel is firt class.
Bottom line - stay here.

I found this hotel on trip advisor. I was originally scheduled to stay at another well know hotel that the reviews were not so good so I changed to this property. I loved my room. Reception and check in were excellent. In room dinning and the Cabiria Restaurant had great food and service. All good!

Me and my husband stayed at the hotel for 4 nights abd 5 days! we absolutely loved our warm stay. The staff was kind, warm and hospitable. We loved the rooms! they were typical english rooms. It was our honeymoon so, we loved the cosy feel of the place. We had a great time. The complimentary breakfast was also well arranged and delicious.

The folks that work here are so great. Very accommodating, kind and helpful. I got the free breakfast with my upgrades. The room is typical European size, but the real issue is the location. Harry's Bar is great across the street and the Spanish steps are a short walk but any of the other "touristy" destinations are going to be somewhat of a walk. I love a long walk and exploring, but for others hoping for quick easy trips it may not be the ideal situation. I did not use the Metro, but there is a metro stop less than 4 blocks away - very close!
