We stayed at the Marriot Grand Flora just one night after our cruise, and, I wished we could have stayed longer. This is a VERY classy hotel with staff that are out of his world! It is a nice historical hotel with tons of character and charm, but, also very luxurious. The rooms were beautiful as well, I loved the decor and the bathroom!

We were with our teenage daughters, and, were able to walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and lots more. The subway was close by and we had used it to get to the Colosseum where we had to go for our segway tour (Rome by Segway), and, then we had dinner over there and took a cab back for only 7 Euros.

We stayed in this hotel for 7 days and because of the hotel experience and location, our vacation was an AAA experience! We couldnt have asked for a friendlier staff or a better room. Thank you Mariott! You did it again!

A perfect stay for our family of three during August 2 - 7 - the busiest time of the year in Rome.
Perfectly bilingual staff, helpful in every way, and available for all your travel questions.
Fantastic breakfast buffet on the roof with dramatic views. Well priced, romantic dinners on the roof. Fantastic jujnior suite - beautiful bathroom, comfortable beds and amenities.
Well positions to be close to a large park (good for morning runs) and nicely situated to be close to a lot but far from the noise and crowds.

Room Tip: Being a Marriot silver and above helps quite a bit.

We stayed at the Grand Flora in 2010, and loved it so much, we booked it again this year, and are so glad we did. The unstuffy elegance remains, as does the warmth of the staff. And, the location simply can't be beat. Best of all may be the truly breathtaking view from the rooftop terrace. You can see for MILES, and to start your day with the hotel's delicious breakfast buffet amidst such stunning vistas is incredible. The restaurants along the street -- Via Veneto -- are very good, too. Just watch out for the prices at the tempting Harry's Bar across the street.

Room Tip: All of the room categories are lovely; it's really just a matter of how much you want to spend o...

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days as our base for exploring all of Rome. On arrival in the morning, our room was already ready and we were able to get in sufficiently early. Great to see a hotel willing to go out of their way to make sure rooms are available.

This hotel is in a great location! Its right outside the Borghese gardens and makes for easy access to an early reservation to the Borghese museum. From here, it is also an easy walk down to the Spanish steps and then to main streets leading to the other sights. We spent 3 days walking all over the city and always managed to find the main streets back to our hotel. Only 2 blocks away from the American embassy, the hotel is in a great neighborhood with ample spots for meals and entertainment.

Staff at the hotel were very helpful. Best part about the hotel is the rooftop dining. If you can have dinner there, make sure to see the sunset! Beautiful views of the Vatican and Rome rooftops. The staff at the hotel was always helpful. Room, though slightly small, was perfect. Since we didn't spend much time in the room, the size did not bother us. The room was always made up well and the bathroom was very large.

We certainly would recommend staying at this hotel if you can.

We had a large room with all the amenities expected at a Marriott and a nice big bathroom & shower. On arrival, I found that the in-room safe was not working which was a bit worrying as Rome is not the city to carry around large amounts of cash & cards. I reported the fault & within 20 minutes a handyman arrived but was unable to fix it. The desk then called to say they were sending an engineer who arrived in 30 more minutes & he managed to fix the problem - all before we had finished unpacking - so I was very impressed with the service and with the urgency they showed in dealing with the problem.
Breakfast is expensive but we were given 2 for 1 vouchers so not so bad. The buffet breakfast is in the rooftop restaurant with outside seating & lovely views of the city.
The area itself is very expensive so watch out for high-priced restaurants especially Café Veneto opposite which is the most disappointing meal we have ever had at the highest prices we have ever paid! Pizzeria around the corner (turn left out the hotel & left again) has good food at reasonable prices & friendly staff.
A good hotel in a safe location.

The hotel was a nice hotel. Try to get an outside room as they overlook the street. The breakfast in the morning is a big buffet and was pretty good, except for the eggs (hat was a common theme in Italy). The also offered champagne so a mimosa was a perfect way to start the day on the rooftop over looking the city. The location of the hotel is in an upscale tourist area. There is a subway stop right next to Harry's that makes it very convenient to get to any location. But walking also is easy as it is only a 20 minute walk to the colisuem. There is also a grocery store down the escalator where you can get a nice bottle of wine cheap. The restaurants in the area are very expensive and are okay, not great. Recommend you to head to Trestavere for dinner, its a 30euro cab ride, and this is where the locals eat. All in all a good hotel.
