We spent two nights at the Grand Flora and two at the Boscolo Exedra and I have to say the Grand Flora was our favorite! The location is awesome - lots of sights within walking distance and many restaurants. We loved having the breakfast buffet on the rooftop. If you get there early, it is quieter and there is more food to choose from. The rooms were small but did not feel cramped to me. There was a walk-in closet that both of our suitcases fit easily in. The bathroom was really nice with a wonderful shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very happy with our stay!

Friends and I stayed for a week using it as our home base for a great vacation. It's in a fantastic location within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, shopping and bistros. It's an older ver historic building with all the modern conveniences and old charm.. From the moment we walked in the door we felt the warm welcome of the front desk staff. My luggage was lost and they took it upon themselves to contact the airline and courier service to check for me. It didn't arrive for two days but the staff did what they could to provide the basics!

We asked concierge to recommend us a restaurant. He has sent us to a place around the corner - Girarosto Toscana. Do not go there! They have tried to charge us extra for things we did not eat, they have tried to foul us with prices. It is a shame for hotel to recommend such a "place"

The Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora - is a beautiful hotel next to the Villa Borghese Gardens and across from Harry's Bar. It's just two blocks from the American Embassy and is close to lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are clean and the breakfast is excellent and a good deal (2 for 1 - @$30 Euros) with a great view of the city, including the Vatican in the distrance. If you arrive early in the morning, expect to wait for your room - we arrived @ 9:30 am and had to wait until noon to get a room - which is to be expected, but after traveling overnight - it was hard to stay up long enough for a room to become available. Our room was on the 4th floor and had a view of the Via Venetto - it was nice to watch all the comings and goings of the city below.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the Via Veneto.

The Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora, is beautiful, super clean, charming, has a fabulous staff, great evening dining restaurant, and the very best location in all of Rome. The breakfast diningroom is on the seventh floor, with one side all glass windows creating a showroom for Rome...

This hotel in on Via Venetto next to the beautiful Borghese Gardens and Museum, and the entire street is filled with lovely restaurants, and fabulous shopping, as well as walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Hop on Hop off Bus lines.

So Get your Marriott Credit card, and start gathering points to use when stayng at this lovely hotel.

Room Tip: I always ask to see the room, in order to determine size and direction, and we do like higher floors...

I saved my points almost two years (that's a lot of Courtyards and Fairfields) for a special trip to Rome and this Category 8 hotel. Beautiful, upscale, safe, quiet location near the Borghese Garden and Gallery. Plenty of restaurants of Via Vittorio Venetto, but also hidden gems (and cheaper) right around the corner on Sardena. Right near the US embassy so you feel right at home.

The staff is very helpful - I saw someone else mention Massimo and agree. He is so helpful. Andreas as well. Everyone speaks perfect English and you will feel comfortable.

The rooms are....well....cozy....and the bathroom was very cozy. But nice marble and great water pressure and temperature.

I know it was free and I shouldn't complain, but our room looked right out at 5 or 6 large trash dumpsters and the trucks came at various hours. There was also a taxi staging area under the window and you could hear drivers talking and smell the cigarette smoke coming in thru the window.

If I go again and had to pay for a room, I might look for something closer in by the Pantheon area. We walked quite a bit but ended up taking a taxi back at night because it was a good hike and that got expensive after a few days.

Room Tip: If you face the gardens, ask for a high floor to see over the wall.

What a delight from the moment we stepped into the hotel. The staff including the concierge Massimo Crea is great! Our room (junior suite) was beautiful and the location is 10-15 mins from most anything and walking distance to some really good restaurants and the Spanish Steps.
We highly recommend this Marriott property.
