A change of plane schedule on a long awaited trip into Tuscany left us with two days to recover from jet lag at high season prices in Rome, while awaiting the arrival of friends. We wanted to find a luxurious, tranquil spot to recover from Jet Lag, sleep, eat great food, and enjoy time by a wonderful outdoor pool. The Parco del Principi Grand Hotel & Spa did not disappoint. It served as a serene Oasis as we alternated between restful sleeps in our "Double Deluxe" room, and time in the garden lounging beside the enormous pool. A private car transfer arranged by the hotel provided a splendid start to a highly pampering experience. We would not choose this hotel if we wanted to be more in the heart of everything but as a luxury retreat it was splendid. The summer special rate was very good value for money. PS Breakfast is splendid - not to be missed - arrange for it at the time of booking if your room does not include it.
