We had the penthouse suite, overlooking townhouses and the park. The service was excellent, the staff friendly, and quite helpful. The breakfast is served downstairs from the main floor., a decent selection. They recommended a trattoria up th block and around a corner that was the highlight of that weekend.

The Lord Byron is always a wonderful place for my wife and me to stay while in Rome; however, this Christmas was the first time that we had been there during the holiday season. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Each room had its own Christmas tree while the common areas were extremely refined and tastefully done. As always I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It may not be for everyone, e.g., those who do not enjoy the peace and quiet of a boutique hotel, but it has certainly been for 15 years my family's home away from home while in Rome.

This small boutique hotel offered us the quiet, relaxing environment we wanted for our first trip to Rome. The room was lovely, with a terrace and a very comfortable bed, we slept well after our long flight and walks during the day. Staff was attentive, but not intrusive and arranged taxis and provided excellent recommendations for local, high end restaurants that we could walk to. Close to Borghese Gardens, we walked daily in the beautiful park. Lots of stairs, which kept us in Shape, although there is an elevator at the hotel. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and stayed here five nights. Our experience was wonderful and we want to go back and bring our family with us! D & C

Room Tip: The suite has a bit more room and a terrace with a view, but the standard sized rooms are just as good.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband the week before Christmas. We are members of the small luxury hotels of the world group and we booked this hotel through them. Like all these hotels this one is perfect. The staff are attentive but not intrusive, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely, with a walk in closet and marble bathroom. The furnishing were very luxurious and we felt like we were being spoilt....like one should be on holiday! We had the buffet breakfast each day, which was varied and sufficient to set us up for the day. The coffee was the best I have ever tasted. The restaurant was a little pricey but the food was wonderful. A small bar serves really good wines and provided us with the perfect place for a night cap. All the main attractions were a short taxi ride away or a 20 minute walk through a beautiful park. The hotel orders a taxi whenever one is needed and they arrive within minutes. There is so much to see in Rome that we set off each morning and did not return to the hotel until late. It is a hotel which will suit couples, it's very relaxing place and we would stay there agin if we went back to Rome.

This small luxury hotel is situated in a smart residential area to the north of the city. The building is art deco in style. All the rooms are elegantly furnished. Our room was large and opened out onto a quiet terrace. The complimentary buffet breakfast was very good offering a range of food both hot and cold.

The biggest thing the hotel has going for it is its staff. Every one (and there seemed to be an abundance), unfailingly courteous and helpful, friendly and welcoming.

It is a 15/20 minute stroll to the centre of Rome (but be aware that the terrain is not flat), through the villa Borghese gardens, or a 10Euro taxi ride.
