This hotel will only suit some travellers. On the negative side the room is noisy. From the street because the location is lively and there seems to be all night accordian players outside. Second from inside the walls are paper thin. On the first night I woke thinking there was someone in my room. On the second night I realised it was next door i could hear when my neighbour got a call after midnight and I could not only hear what she said but also every word of her caller. The bathroom has minimum products I only had soap on the second night. The bed is a very firm foam. The tv was huge with few channels and poor reception although the bbc world service was one that worked. Last the wifi is patchy and you may have to move out of your room to connect. Their server is not secure so you take a risk connecting. I would be cautious about connecting to any important site for banking or travel.

On the positive side. It is a short walk from the metro station and even late at night it was busy and lively and felt safe. The hotel is a minute from the trevi fountain and there are restaurants shops and sights everywhere around. For the location the price via the hotel website was good and they can organise a taxi to the airport. The breakfast was good and included. Good coffee and tea, pastries, eggs, fruit, cereal, breads, etc and you could eat for the day. If you were inclined you might make your lunch from breakfast.

So to party and have more fun than sleep on a budget in a great location Yes. To stay and relax and enjoy try elsewhere.

Last tip is bring or buy flat shoes. It is cobbles every where and no place for heels.

Dear JaneUK,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience .

We feel sadness that we did not meet your expectations but we appreciate your recognition of our unbeatable position and rich breakfast.
I apologize for any disturbance caused by other guests speaking in a not normal level of voice, or switching speakerphone.
Regarding our bath amenities, we do provide any room with delicate soap bar, body lotion, shower cup, intimate soap and, above the bath tub or shower, head and shoulder liquid soap. Asking the reception you will get also a shaving kit, if needed
Last, the WIFI is protected by antivirus and ant spam and absolutely reliable. Alert message that you may receive is informing that connection is diverted to our server and therefore completely protected.
WIFI connection works in every room and throughout the Hotel. In case signal is not fully high, we provide our guest with complimentary portable routers, that can be used while visiting the City.
We hope to have a second chance to have you with us,
Best regards.

Good day, ladies and gentlemen.
This time I'm going to tell you about hotel Accademia.

So, as usual I start with information about travel.
Who traveled: my mom and I.
When: in the beginning of March.
How to get to the hotel: train from airport to the nearest underground + underground or taxi. We took taxi because we were tired and it cost us something about 50 euro.

Location:
This hotel is situated in the centre of Rome and the nearest sight of the city is Trevi Fountain (it's right in the next building to the hotel). There is also Pantheon if you cross the road. By the way, the road in front of the hotel is full of shops and one of the main shop-streets. It's also full with cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. So, location is great because you can easily get by foot to every interesting place and go shopping.

Room:
room is quite good. As I used to visit Rome before, I could compare quality of hotels and this one was the best one. Room was really clean and tiny and reminded me of hotel Europa in Vienna. I don't have any complaints about this room. Bathroom is also equipped with everything you need: shower gel, soap, towels and etc.

Breakfast:
Oh, there was an American breakfast! Like for real: with bacon and omelet! There also was a great assortment range of buns, donats and etc. Working coffee machine provides you with any kind of coffee. So, you won't be hungry after all.

Additional information and disadvantages:
The main disadvantage is absence of free Wi-Fi. First of all, I wanna say that signal covers only hall and secondly, 1 hour- 3euro, all day- 5 euro. It's a great minus for me, and not sure for you.
Anyways, I don't have any other observations, so 4/5.

Have fun,
For any additional questions, write me on e-mail: dianalynov@yahoo.com

P.S I'm sorry for not taking any photos of room this time.

The location is great, breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly. The room was OK but had a look and feel of the seventies. The room prices were very high which were paid upfront directly to the hotel. It was remarkable that for the first night booking.com offered rooms significant cheaper for the same hotel!

Dear Rob T
Many thanks you for posting your impressions. We always appreciate genuine, young point of view.
As we remember, you choose one of the most requested date of the year and no flexibility. On the same time, last minute cancellation, in the late afternoon, forced us to offer remaining unoccupied room at dramatic discount rate.
Hoping this clarifies your doubts,

Kind regards,

The price is right for this hotel. Friendly staff who spoke Many languages. The lobby is long and comfy. It is a small hotel really close by theFountain of Trevi. Alot of restaurants close by. The hotel provides bell hop service, and the room was basic. Nice king size bed. The room had a view of the backpart of the hotel. It was February also. Good size bathroom with a big shower/tub. Overall a good place to stay and see Roma.

All was fine. Night portier knew a lot about art and Rome. Only thing that could be improved a bot was breakfast. But then again: where do you eat a good breakfast in italy?! (Im from scandinavia ;-)
The room was fine as well as clean. The placement close to trevi was perfect. Go to the restaurant IL CHIANTI just down the road. Perfect italian food.
And there are a lot of bad restaurants in the area! So be carefull!) (scavolini for instance is BAD)
Anyway have a nice stay :-)

Dear PeterStar,
We appreciate that you shared your comments with us.
You are right: nothing can compare to Scandinavian breakfast with herrings and deer
On the other side, we have to admit that during our breakfast time you can enjoy a perfect Espresso coffee and real cappuccino, moistly scramble eggs with tasty bacon and mini hotdogs, fresh fruit, cereals and yogurt, crispy roman bread and other Italian specialties such as Milano salami and sweet croissants.
Welcome to our Hotel Accademia!

This hotel is in a brilliant location, right heart the Trevi Fountain and all the sights. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. There is free wi-if and an in-room safe. Breakfast is good. The rooms are very small and there is no view and no kettle. This is a clean, friendly, basic hotel in a perfect location. Don't come here if you want to recreate a fantasy from a movie about Rome. Come here if you need somewhere satisfactory to stay and keep in mind you will only need the room for sleeping. Got it?

We are pleased you took your time to share your impression about us.

Passing your feedback onto the team, we would like to inform you that we are equipping every room with new kettles. Even though our standard rooms are satisfactory to stay, if you are looking for a special experience, we do suggest reserving our Superior rooms with wooden beams ceiling with typical and romantic atmosphere.

My husband and i stayed at this hotel on March 2014 for 5 nights.Usually when we stay at Rome we book at White hotel, which is another hotel under travelroma chain hotels. Our room was in good size and comfi, bathroom was ok ,yet the toilet was a little bit not in order but i did not care as all other things at this hotel were ok.also our room was to the steet which might bother for those who need quiet. we actually liked the noise of the street..felt like being in a movie...
Above all the stuff was very helpfull ,especialy Francesca at the receiption. We had to send parcel via courier and she did here best to help us . she was always welcoming us when we enter in and ourt from the hotel, and always with a big smile. Breakfast was very good.
We will defently book our next stay at this hotel as it is a very warm and freindly hotel.
.

Room Tip: if you need quet room ,make sure the room is not located to the street.
