We found the Hotel Valadier to be a great place to stay and was located in the middle of everything. We could walk to almost every tourist site from the hotel without any problem. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again when in Rome.

We stayed here prior to our Greece cruise and could not have liked it better. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was old world elegance. The location could not be better, you are 10 minutes to the taxi stand, 10 minutes to the Spanish steps and 30 minutes to the Borgese Gallery. We took a taxi from her to the Vatican, 4 people was 5Euros.
We had planned to take the train to the port of Rome and the office staff suggested a van transfer, they took the 8 of us to the cruise ship for 200 Euros, ( one hour each way) and dropped us off 10 feet from the ships embarkation location. When we decided we liked that idea, they had a van at the door in 15 minutes and they provided each of us with a bottle of water for the trip out.
Resturants with outside seating are on the same street, either side of the hotel door.
They could not have been more accommodating and the roof top breakfast has a wonderful view of the St Peters dome. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Each room is very different in size and configuration,

The location is absolutely phenomenal. Restaurants and shopping...near trains, buses and taxi so mobility is not a problem..but why leave the are...you can hoof it to great food and fun. The street people and artists were a nice addition. We loved this hotel so much we booked it again. Breakfast buffet is nice...but the fact that it is on the roof ...a bonus! Staff was friendly and helpful. Free wifi and several restaurants accepting 10% discount. Really interesting art work throughout the hallways. Rooms are laid out well. Planning a group trip in a year or so and this will be our Rome hotel. Wouldn't even think to book anything else!! Grab a room and you will see exactly what I mean!

We stayed at this beautiful hotel with my father in law and my husband and babygirl. The rooms are not the biggest, but the location is one of the best. The staff in the bar and restaurants where really sweet and so good with children. We had an amazing stay, and would reccomend it to everyone that goes to Rome.
Great hotel. Grazie mille.

Sorry for the stereotype but Rome's hotels are overpriced, staffing is snappy and not friendly.....N O !!! NOT TRUE

This hotel and the people are just wonderful. We were 2 adults and a 2.5 years old daughter. I forgot to mention her in the booking and just booked for 2. When i recognized the mistake i was afraid they charge me an arm and a leg for her but instead the front desk gentlemen looked at her and gave us a bigger room at no extra costs. "bigger room" is of course relative in Rome, but when we entered the room we were amazed by the interiors and charm of it. We were greeted and helped all the time. Also, they have a couple of restaurants, one in front of the hotel where they give 10% discount for hotel guests. Normally i try another restaurant every time i eat in order to get more variety. But the restaurant downstairs was so good, not pricey and friendly staffed, that we ate there 6 times in 4 days! Great hotel, great location, prefect for a romantic get away.

Grazie!

Glamorous hotel. Location, incredible. Once over the initial shock of how small our room was (304) (had only intentions of sleeping there!) Hotel provided me with the best nights sleep during the in tire trip in Italy. Shower unit in this room is barely conducive for a person of "stature". Although, did peep into other rooms, they did seem somewhat bigger. Breakfast fare abundant, and delicious, something to suit the palette of everyone. I do without a doubt of hesitance RECOMMEND this hotel highly, and will be staying there my next to the city, for sure.

We stayed here for 5 nights in June. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close to the Popolo plaza, the largest plaza in Rome and designed by Valadier. Corso street with all the shopping is right there as well. You can walk to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, Villa Borghese without too much difficulty. We even walked to Trastevere, although that took about 1/2 hour or more. Check out Margutta street nearby. Several good restaurants like Babbette and nice stores with art and whatnot. A very pleasant street.

We stayed in the new wing, in a triple. The rooms have a modern décor. They are fairly spacious for Europe. The staff was very friendly. The rooftop bar is spectacular for breakfast. Great at night as well, though not cheap. The street noise was not bad. We spent about $400/night US, so again, was not cheap, but the location is just about perfect.
