“Our stay this past summer”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2011

We found and booked this hotel via the internet. One of the reasons we thought it would work best for us was due to its location near the Rome metro station. I was very convenient to the metro. A very short walk to the station.

We discovered the hotel to be superb. It exceeded our expectation in how clean and comfortable it was. The staff was very friendly and was always willing to help us with recommendation. Whenever we asked them for restaurant suggestions the recommended some outstanding establishments. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not regret your stay.

Room Tip: Our room was in the annex and we discovered it was a very quiet location. It was a matter of 50 feet...

We arrived expecting to be shown a small room (rome's hotel rooms are usually considered to be on the small side) but were very excited when we entered suite 49 and found a large luxurious room with a terrace overlooking the piazza fountain ! also a generous spa bathroom. We had a peek into some of the other rooms downstairs, and they looked great also (although not as impressive as ours)
The bed was so comfortable.
Breakfast was a proper breakfast with eggs etc as you like, and a generous buffet- all included.
My wife and I were celebrating my 50th birthday in Italy, and the manager, Fabio, sent me a hand written note and beautiful bottle of wine. All the staff were very friendly and accomodating- It helped that they all spoke english.
In short- a fantastic value for euro hotel in a great location. We will surely stay here again when in Rome.

Room Tip: We had a top floor with terrace.( no. 49)- certainly worth the extra 80 euros

I was greated by very professional staff at reception and was pleased to discover that i had been upgraded to a junior suite overlooking barbarini square. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and very clean and comfortable and i enjoyed the wealcolming bowl of fresh fruit provided. I was initially a bit concerned that it might be noisy being so close to a busy traffic area but with the effective double glazing traffic noise was not noticed . (i did once hear an ambulance passng with a very loud siren but that was the only noise that i heard during my stay) The hotel does include an excellent beakfast as part of the package and i thought that the staff were very efficient bringing the freshly made omelet that i ordered as part of my breakfast. The other good feature was the free wifi internet in my room ,the only downside was it was at some times a bit slow downloading but i was not too concerned as it was free something that you dont always get in hotels in Italy. The hotel is conviently located on line A of the metro about 2 stops from termini railway station and there is also a taxi rank nearby in Barbarinini square.

Room Tip: some how get upgraded to a junior suite

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was within walking distance to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, and the Vatican (45 minute walk). We were upgraded to a suite in the building next door, where we had our own apartment. Room and bathroom was comfortable, all marble and generous in size. The breakfast was very good- buffet and menu provided. Excellent coffee. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a base in Rome while sight seeing.

We arrived here from Florence, the hotel was very nice, lots of room, it is a bit older but is renovated so it is nice. Very central to most things, if you want to walk a bit you can see lots just by walking around. The staff are very good, they all speak English, the breakfast is excellent and classy. We had a small issue with the washroom flush, so they changed our room right away, they are very good at customer service. The train station is across the street, Local busses and tour busses are also about 2 minutes away. For a big and busy city like Rome the location, service, helpfulness of the staff was excellent. ******** LOVE ITALY********* we went to Paris just before we arrived in Italy and regreted wasting time in Paris, Italian people are so much more warm, welcoming, happy and seem so love life, and their accent while speaking English is sooooooooooooo cool.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was very comfortable, and the bathroom was huge and totally covered in marble! Our room was upstairs in an adjacent building from the front desk. To find the hotel, look at the statue in the center of the plaza. The street of the hotel is roughly aligned with the right arm of the statue. Our only complaint about the hotel was that apparently another guest had ordered a wake up call and left before it went off, and their phone kept ringing every 10 mins. or so when we were trying to take an afternoon nap after sightseeing. But, we called down and they fixed it. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Their English was excellent, so that wasn't a problem at all. The breakfast was an upscale continental style breakfast, with breads, meats, yogurt, and cheeses, but I believe they will also make you eggs if you get down there early (we were always a bit late). They will make you fresh cappuccinos ("cappuccini") or rich coffee with steamed milk on the side (caffe con latte); I tried both and they were to die for! The room (and building) have a lot of old world charm, plus modern amenities, like a flat screen TV. You can easily walk to many tourist attractions from this hotel, and we felt it was reasonably priced compared to other options. The neighborhood is busy, but feels safe. We mostly walked, but there is also metro access nearby. (Just beware of people in the metro who will offer to "help" you buy a metro card at the machines, but will rip you off and try to steal your change.) Anyway, we had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. I'm a very light sleeper, and I slept like a baby. We were very pleased.
