“The perfect spot”

We loved this hotel as the base for our visit to Rome. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The location is ideal -- in walking distance to the full range of Rome's must see experiences -- but also with a metro stop if necessary. Piazza Barberini is a relatively calm location with lots of services available including an assortment of good restaurants and a 24 hr pharmacy (farmacia).

Attentive, friendly, helpful service. Good location, with ready access to buses and metro and within walking distance of numerous sites. Ample and good breakfast buffet. Very comfortable bed. Free wifi, nice lounge, free papers.

Only negative: no bus route maps available at reception (though did have free copies of "A Guest in Rome" magazine, which has as a centrefold a good bus route map for central Rome). Buses a great way to get around, especially with a day pass (available at reception) or the 3 day Roma pass with free entry to the first 2 attractions and discounts for many others.

Room Tip: Nice bright room overlooking Piazza Barberini. Highly effective sound-proofing with windows shut and...

We only stayed 1 night but we had a great time at this boutique hotel. We got a roof top deluxe room which had an outside entertainment area and spa! Pity we didn't have the time to fully enjoy it.
One of the best locations, near the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and underground. The front besk could not have been more helpful and the free WIFI was great, I hope they continue with that as other hotels are starting to do.
Anyway, highly recommended and this is where we are staying if we ever get back to Rome.

Room Tip: Roof top with spa and entertainment area would be our reccomendation

We stayed in four different hotels during our recent trip to Italy, We loved each of them but the Hotel Barocco was fantastic!. The location is great. It is not far from the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. The hotel staff were so friendly and very responsive.

Great location, helpful staff, nice breakfast, free wifi. I stayed at the anex builiding, we had a lot of keys for different and a really old and small elevator, but the room was good and the overall experience too.
