“Terrific end to stay in Italy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 October 2012

My mom and I (she is 90!) were so comfortable at the Barocco. The staff could not have been more helpful. We looked forward to breakfast each morning with the wonderful selections; room decor and linens were outstanding and the updates in the showers were amazing. The location just off the Piazza Barberini was so convenient and the staff gave wonderful suggestions and directions. Went to Trevi fountain often it was so close!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review. We do not often have the pleasure of welcoming guests in their nineties, and few Italians would embark on such a demanding trip with their elderly parents. This is a pleasure I have never had myself, having lost my parents young, but I am sure it was a wonderful experience for your mother.
Knowing that we helped to make her stay comfortable is a source of professional, but above all personal, satisfaction for me.
Warmest regards to you and your mother from myself and the whole Hotel Barocco staff.

the start of our holiday throughout italy commenced with our stay that the barocco hotel. our room was large, clean and well furnished. the hotel is located not far from the spanish steps and you had public transport at your doorstep.
the most wonderful part of our stay was being treated as friends by all of the staff at the hotel. everyone went out of their way to help and assist. Fabio, Massimo and Elizabetha were great. Nothing was ever a problem.
breakfast each morning was sensational - a truly memorable and unforgettable start to our italian adventure

Dear Guest,
thank you for remarking upon a feature of Hotel Barocco’s service that is central to my management approach: “we were treated as friends by all of the staff at the hotel. Everyone went out of their way to help and assist”.
To achieve this aim, staff must be selected not only on their professional merits, but on their ability to establish a genuine personal relationship with our guests. And believe me, such people are not easy to find.
Thank you for highlighting this vision of the service offered by Hotel Barocco. It is always particularly satisfying to hear my own thoughts on what is important echoed by a guest.
I hope to see you again, together with Elisabetta, Fabio, Massimo and of course all the rest of the staff.

We visited this hotel as our third stop in touring Italy. The service at the hotel is outstanding. The staff were friendly and met our every need. They gave good information on restaurants and tours. The hotel is clean and decorated well. We loved the multi color lights in the shower. They had quite a few American tv stations, which was quite refreshing after being cutoff from Espn for over a week. The bartender was very friendly and makes good drinks. The location was great, just a few minutes walk from the Spanish Steps. They had a lovely fruit basket to welcome us to our hotel.

Dear Guest,
thank you for your review, especially since in the last few days many of you have remarked positively on our new barman. During August there have been major new changes to our service, and the results are beginning to show. We have just opened a small wine cellar, with a selection of fine wines that differs from the classic list of the world’s most renowned labels. We have chosen to focus on the vines from which the wines currently made all over the world are derived. They are difficult to find, perhaps difficult to appreciate, but there are few experiences more exciting than tasting the wines produced for Caesar thousands of years ago.
Many thanks, both from myself and of course from Raffaele, our new barman.

Great hotel. Beautiful room, friendly staff and very hearty breakfast. Hotel is close walking distance to all the major Rome attractions except the Vatican, although we even walked that. The only downside was that our room faced the street and on Friday and Saturday night it can be very noisy. If you are a light sleeper request an interior room or one that faces Via Della Purificazione (the side street).

On a recent trip to Italy, this was our first hotel stay. We couldn't be happier. The hotel is centrally located to many attractions, it's clean, rooms are good size, staff is fantastic and the breakfast is the best. All of these points make it a solid value for the price. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel after our Italy/Sicily bus tour. They welcomed us and we were able to leave our luggage there with the porter since it was too early to access our room. When we returned later, our luggage was in our beautiful room with a fruit basket to enjoy. The staff were very courteous, helpful, checked out some sightseeing info for us and made us feel very welcome. We were allowed to use their computer/printer to print out our airplane boarding passes when we sadly had to leave Rome. They would not take any gratuity for these extra services. Our 'included' breakfasts and 'made to order' hot portions were delicious. Internet was free. The location was excellent with great shopping, restaurants for dinner, taxi stands and 'hop and go' bus service for sightseeing . Many sights were within walking distance. Thank you Hotel Barocco for everything. We loved our stay.

In a perfect location for visiting Rome, the Hotel Barocco has old world charm combined with extremely modern conveniences. The staff were extremely warm , helpful, and attentive. Our room ( we were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade) was immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious.
This was our first stop on our trip to Italy, and we feel lucky to have found such a wonderful hotel.
