We spent 3 nights at Barocco Hotel following a Mediterranean cruise. Our room was compact but comfortable, in muted tones with an abundance of stone, a canopy bed, and spacious bathroom. Though it faced Piazza Barberini, we never heard noise at night. Breakfast - an abundant buffet and eggs to order - was the best we have ever had in Europe. Location is great -- close to a metro stop, taxi stand, shops and restaurants; minutes from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. We appreciated the extra touches -- fresh fruit upon arrival,
flowers tucked into our robes, sweet treats and a handwritten note on our last evening. Staff
could not have been more accommodating or helpful. We were well taken care of, and would not hesitate to return to this charming boutique hotel in enchanting Rome.
