This hotel is a real gem of a place. Really friendly & helpful staff sets the place out as special, nothing too much trouble.
Fantastic buffet breakfast, comfy beds, spotlessly clean & above all in Rome quiet. Would definitely stay here again, great hotel!

We wanted a place close to the Spanish Steps and found this boutique hotel. It was previously high rated by others and so I gave it a try. It was important to us as we were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I will say we had some wonderful stays over many cities in Italy, but the customer service at this hotel was exceptional. They recognized our Anniversary by upgrading our room and giving us Champagne and fruit, were very accommodating in many different questions we had about directions, things to do, etc. They even went out of their way to send us up some breakfast the morning we had to leave before Breakfast buffet opened. In addition, their Breakfast was the best we had across our other city stays. All in all this was a wonderful hotel, very clean, with excellent service. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We got a superior room and it was really nice and of good size relative to other places we stayed ac...

Within a short walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps, and an easy walking distance to the Colosseum, Forum, Pantheon, Piazza Navano and most of the main attractions in Roma, Barocco is a really friendly little hotel with nicely appointed rooms, super breakfasts , and for a change a hotel bathroom with a shower that you don't have to run around in to get wet!

Also situated next to the Barberini metro station, only 4 stops fro the Vatican, and with an open top bus tour stop just off the square. Loads of nice restaurant within a stones throw.

Thoroughly recommended

Room Tip: not a hotel with views, so no real preference. Everywhere quiet

The room was pretty and comfortable, fruit platter was a lovely surprise. The location of the hotel is ideal for nearly all the attractions except for the Vatican City but again this was only four metro stops away and the underground is literally around the corner. Staff was welcoming and full of good recommendations and remembered my husband's birthday and surprised him with a delicious cupcake at breakfast! Also on our last night a plate of cookies was provided which was a lovely touch.

Fabulous stay wonderful accommodation and extremely helpful staff providing recommendations for some very good restaurants and not too expensive. Nothing was too much trouble, we had a very tastefully decorated room with separate seating area, very quiet which we had requested. Fruit and flowers provided and a surprise bottle of fizz to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday AND a little cake with lit candle at breakfast!!! Great location within walking distance of many places we wanted to visit. We did two organised trips one to Colosseum and Roman Forum and the other to the Vatican and Cistern Chapel the latter trip organised by hotel and we were picked up from there and returned both very good value and well worth it for information provided and advantage of beating the queues. As with many previous guests had problems with internet connection but staff went out of their way to try to sort this out for us. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We requested quiet room at back with courtyard view as we read previous reviewers complained of nois...

This is a lovely, charming hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The decor is beautiful. The location is perfect for the main attractions. The only possible downside is that there is no restaurant on site - although there are plenty in the vicinity. I was there with my young son who got quite tired by the evening so it would have been easier if we hadn't had to go out to eat. Nevertheless, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We just returned back from a two-week trip to Italy and were pleasantly surprised with our first visit to the Barocco Hotel. Prior to leaving, we had been in touch with the concierge who was TREMENDOUSLY responsive and helpful in providing information on private tours of the city, as well as restaurant reservations and airport pick-up (do this, as the Rome airport is a bit of a madhouse!) so, when we arrived, everything was taken care of and went smoothly. Note that we upgraded our room to a Suite prior to our trip as well (for a minimal charge - do inquire about this ahead of your trip, as it's worth the upgrade!) and had requested a quiet corner suite, which they were able to accommodate (Suite 29 - very nice and, although it overlooked the busy Piazza Barberini, it was not noisy at all!). During our stay, two days at the front of our trip and our last day in Italy, the front desk staff were both friendly and knowledgeable and provided a lot of assistance in getting around the city, especially on foot since the hotel was so centrally located and most things were within walking distance. All in all, this was an exceptional hotel and we would definitely choose to stay there again on our next visit to Rome!
