My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The hotel is on a side street off of a nearby plaza, so we never had an issues with noise in the room. Our room was in the annex building next door to the hotel. It was small, but comfortable with a great bed and the biggest bathroom I've ever seen in a European hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful - the concierge helped us find a good travel agent to book our train tickets so we could avoid the huge lines at the train station. And the complimentary breakfast was the best of our trip!

The hotel's location is wonderful. There is a subway stop just around the corner, which made getting to the Vatican very easy, and almost everything else was in easy walking distance. We walked to the train station, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon very easily.

I would absolutely stay here again!

We recently spent 4 nights (post cruise) here. This was our second trip to Italy and we were so pleased with this little hotel. Before we booked we looked at every hotel in Rome for days and days but always returned to the Barocco listing. The hotel's reception was very friendly with a nice young bellman who stored our luggage since we arrived 3 hours early. We went out for a walk to the Trevi Fountain and had lunch and we returned the bags were in our room.

The concierge was helpful with all of our questions regarding buses, directions, pharmacy (I was sick one day) and other things. He prearranged our ticket reservation to the Borghese Gallery as well. Upon arrival we received a ticket for two complimentary drinks from the bar but did not use them until our last night. I wish we had gone to the bar earlier, as the nice young bartender had put out a small spread of finger foods and we spent a little while just chatting with him.

The complimentary breakfast buffet was very nice and offered a good assortment of items to suit most tastes. All of the areas of the hotel were nicely decorated and quiet. The maid service was excellent including turn down service. Our room was small, which is common in Italy, but very clean. The bathroom was quite large with a tub (with shower) toilet and bidet.

The location was everything with the Bernini Square & Fountain right across the street, Via Veneto around the corner and several shops and restaurants two minutes from the hotel. We walked to the Trevi Fountain, The top of the Spanish Steps, the Bottom of the Spanish Steps, The Pantheon and Piazza Navone with no trouble at all. We even walked all the way to the river and then to Trastavere one day and found that we could have walked to the Vatican if we had wanted to. The hotel was also within walking distance of the Borghese Park, but probably about 35-45 minutes.

The only negative thing I could say about the hotel is that the entry had been moved from the main street (Tritone) to a little alleyway which made it a little harder to find and that the bathtub was very small (narrow). A large person would have a problem using the bathtub, but after 14 days of showers, we welcomed the bathtub.

We stayed in room #11 which was a short flight of stairs (or you can use the elevator) from the lobby and the bar and breakfast room. The tall double windows opened on a little alleyway but it was nice to be able to open them from time to time for fresh air.

I would definately stay here again and recommend it to others.

This hotel is situated perfectly to walk to all of Rome's major attractions. The staff was wonderful, the room a little small but immaculate, and the breakfast was delicious. There was a huge selection of great restaurants within a block or two. We really loved our stay here. Great linens too!

My wife and I spent 3 days at your hotel October 8th to the 11th it was more than we expected. Your location is just perfect, our room was great and your service was definitely top self. The breakfast was outstanding, a lot more then we imagined. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate your hotel a 10 in all categories. You’re definitely better than a 4 star rating. Thank you for making our stay in Rome a most pleasant experience, I would recommend your hotel to any of my friends who are planning a trip to Rome.

Thank you,
Carolyn & Valentine Bilcik

We stayed for 4 nights; service was friendly, some staff more so than others. Staff was helpful in making dinner reservations when we provided the restaurant information, however not so good with making recommendations. Our 1st floor room was small as expected, but more outdated than we had hoped for. Bed was very uncomfortable and the natural light was lacking, although the room was very quiet which was nice. The saving grace (sort of) was the updated bathroom, however our shower was extremely small and did not drain properly. The sink did not drain well either. The proximity to the metro was great, especially coming from NYC where we are used to taking the subway everywhere. Breakfast was average, similar to the other hotels we stayed at in Italy.
