We stayed here for 4 nights in August. I'll admit I was a little worried about staying at this hotel as there were many mixed reviews on it. However, our stay was very pleasant. As there was 4 of us we got a spacious sized room - 505, which was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Easy to walk to main sites. I have to say the decor was old fashioned but in my opinion it added to the italian vibe. My only negatives are - decor in the bathroom needs sorting (flaky paint) and the jacuzzi doesn't work. There is a bar but I don't think it is open as there is no staff available at the bar and it was always quiet. Lastly,if you are using the stairs do NOT use the hand-rail as it is loose and fell as one of us used it. P.s. the lifts are very small aswell.

Honestly, this is a very nice hotel, for a three-star. Clean rooms, decent service, nice view from the restaurant. Slow but usable wifi.

Unfortunately, it is billed as a four star hotel, which it just isn't.

Dear Niels C, we are sorry that you didn't perceive us as a four stars hotel, in Europe there isn't a common norme about the stars assigned to the hotel. We correspond fully to the regional norm regarding the hotels of the same category. Therefore we are glad you liked the room, the service and the view from the breakfast room.

I booked this room for its close proximity to the Fountain and the Steps. The price was very good and I was very happy with my choice. I was in room 507 which was very nice. The bathroom was a nice size and very clean. The front desk was helpful with directions and very pleasant. The breakfast was on the 6th floor with an amazing view. They had plenty of food to choose from and I was pleasantly surprised to see scrambled eggs!!!! I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I was happy in room 507

The location of this hotel can't be beat - about a 10 minute walk from the Spanish Steps which was so nice. Also right around the corner from the Via Veneto. Walking distance to lots of cafes and restaurants. We had a nice room on a higher floor with a balcony overlooking the Borghese Garden walls. Very quiet in the evening - got a great night's sleep. The rooms are dated though - our bathroom was on the shabby side, and the other members in my family had similar rooms. The breakfast was fantastic though - on the top floor of the hotel with a spectacular view of Rome. Generous spread of yogurt, fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, cheeses, meats, etc. Excellent coffee. Enough of a variety for any type of traveler. It really is in need of renovation and then worth of a higher rating.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a higher floor with a balcony and a view of the Borghese Gardens.

the air con leaked all over our clothing in the wardrobe, thick walls from the outside but thin from the inside so very noisy with people going past the room all the time, nice breakfast and great dining room, receptionist at check-in seemed pretty dis-interested, all and all very average

We stayed her as a group of 9 of assorted ages and enjoyed our 2 night stay. The hotel is well located for Spanish steps and the Trevi Fountain ( which is not operational by the way, dry and scaffolded up) and you can walk most places from here in about 30 minutes. We came by rental car and had a difficult time finding the place, so get good directions! We parked our car three streets down from the hotel on the left, in a public car park -easy!
We had rooms on the 5th and 6th floors - 6th floor room had a lovely balcony and great view of Vatican. Our room was 509 and faced the non Vatican side of the building and was non descript but clean and comfortable with a good shower. There was some construction noise in the morning but we were up and about and not there to be in the room.
Breakfast was excellent and was included. Great coffee, meats cheese, cereal, eggs etc. and plenty of it.
We would return as location and price was good, AC worked well and there is a bar in the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Short and sweet....

I stayed for a single night with my wife in July before we moved onto a better hotel.

The location of the hotel is well placed near popular spots, but beyond that the hotel is below average. Never a 4 star hotel; 2 or 3 star at most.

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable; the decor was poorly constructed and the bathroom was dull and unpleasant. We also had severe damp on our ceiling, which was actually leaking.

Breakfast was an afterthought too, nothing special.

Hotel was relatively inexpensive, but still overpriced for what it is.

Room Tip: Don't book this hotel based on it's star to price ratio. It is a 2/3 star at most.
