The hotel is just around the corner from the Spanish Steps and within walking distance of most of the main attractions. We found the room to be very comfortable and the service was very good. Even though our room opened up to the street, the double glazing worked well. Would stay there again.

The room in the Dependance was so tiny, dark and noisy that we can not believe that the Rating of this Hotel is meant seriously. The two nights we stayed we slept only a few hours as it was so loud.

Positive: Location, reception staff friendly, good restaurant recommendations by staff

Dear Guests,

We are so sorry to hear that you were not completely happy with your stay with us. We try our very best to accommodate our guests in every possible way.

We would liked to have known about the room beening noisy during your stay and we would surely have addressed this problem. Sometimes other guests in the hotel can be a little noisy without realizing it, we could have brought this to their attention. There can be street noise, May is a very busy month in Rome and we are situated by the Spanish steps which is a real hive of attivity.

We are a "boutique" hotel and although our rooms can be a little on the small side they are comfortable and clean. Again, with the greatest respect, if we had known we could have found a larger room for you with more light.

We thank-you with all our collective hearts on your comments about the staff. As you would have seen we work extremely hard to give our guests that special feeling when their trip is over.

We hope we have answered all your points to the best of our ability and hope that you feel the same. As a gesture of goodwill we would like to offer you in the future our best new room at a special price that we will personally arrange for you. Just contact us when you feel the time is right.

Kind regards,

Romolo,

We stayed for 3 nights in April in the main part of the hotel. The room was VERY small and more old fashioned than the pictures online appear to show. The air conditioning was not working, the shower was dirty, did not always have hot water and did not drain properly - standing in a few inches of water at the end of your shower.

The staff were very much disinterested in talking to us and apart from check in and check out, we did not get a chance to speak to them at all. The only exception was the very friendly man in charge of serving the breakfast but we felt sorry for him having to serve such terrible food!

On our last day we had a late flight home and left our bags with the hotel to look after. On our return to the hotel to pick the bags up, we were asked to go and collect the bags ourselves from the downstairs breakfast area, which was left unlocked and anyone could have wondered in to take the bags. As the lift doesn't work very well we ended up carrying the bags back up the lobby area.

Don't let them arrange a taxi for you to the airport as they will charge 60 euros even though the local taxis have a fixed fee that is cheaper (taxi rank is by Spanish steps).

On a plus point the location was great with lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The Spanish steps are a 1 minute walk away, the Trevi Fountain is about 10 minutes and the Colosseum is around 30 minutes.

Dear Guests,

We are sorry to hear about your stay with us and we only wish we could have had the chance to have remedied some of your points during your stay. We will try and address your comments one by one as best as we can now.

We are a "boutique" hotel situated in the heart of Rome by the Spanish steps and although our rooms can be a little on the small side they are comfortable and clean. We are always updating our rooms and as you can appreciated we only take a few rooms at a time to cause as little disruption as possible.

It has been a particularly chilly spring and for this reason, at the request of our guests, the heating was kept on. The air conditioning only comes on when the heating is switched off. We use our discretion as best as possible to cater for all our guests at all times.

We find it bemusing that you couldn't find any of our staff to relate to about the points you have brought up! We ourselves make a point on developing customer care whilst our guests are staying with us. This is second to none, we renown ourselves on this as the other reviews on this site demostrate.

The continental style buffet breakfast we serve is a changing mix between a wide range of classical dishes of the finest quality and guest suggestion. We appreciate that our guests prefer different things at different times and are only too happy to cater for this when requested.

Luggage can be kept at the hotel until our guests leave. Normally a porter will bring the luggage up to the guests. If our guests decide to go to where the luggage is stored they have to be accompanied by a porter. At which point it is at our guests discretion if he or she or the porter handles the luggage. We are always at your disposal and will always offer to help first.

The service we offer to the airport is a private limousine with a flat rate, no hidden charges and completely transparent. A taxi is a little cheaper and our guests are completely entitled to choose as they please.

We hope we have answered all your points to the best of our ability and hope that you feel the same. With all said and done we would like to offer you in the future our best new room at a special price that we will personally arrange for you. Just contact us when you feel the time is right.

We visited for 3 nights in mid-March. Stayed in the main building. Rooms are small, as referenced in other reviews, but clean and well insulated from street noise. It's Rome, you're not supposed to hang out in a hotel room! And, it's Rome, you have to expect tight quarters and big-city prices.
What set the Condotti apart was the friendly and helpful staff, always willing to offer suggestions, all pretty good with English.
Location is great: many areas ware walkable, plus you're only two blocks from the Metro.
All in all, a very good choice.

Dear friends,
thank you for your review We are very glad to have a response about your staying. To improve we need your suggestion while you're here and your opinion when you leave.
Main building offers room on the streeto or internals. Oviously due to the ancient of area, them are not so large.
We are very proud you remark the staff in your review. We really try to have a different kind of approach with all our guests. Of course the neighbour offers so much that makes our job easily. Is plenty of restaurants and attraction at walkable distance. Nearest Metro station is Spangna and its just a 5 minutes walking.
We very thankful you spend a good time in Rome with us.
Hope you'll have a great weekend!
regards

Antonio - receptionist

Our first stay here was great, however, our second stay was not as positive. We booked to stay in the main hotel but they gave us a room around the corner, in a dingy building. Had to walk up a dark and musty flight of stairs to get to the main corridor. The room was dark, old fashioned. Very unlike our first stay in the main hotel part!! There was no shower in our ensuite! Just a bath and handheld shower hose (very unimpressed). Will not be staying here again...

We stayed at Hotel Condotti for 5 nights with 2 adult children.
We stayed in the annex just around the corner from the main hotel.
Our rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable.
The location is great, with train station and Spanish steps 100 metres down the road
The hotel is within walking distance to all major attractions.
Good restaurants close by. Try the gelato shop opposite the hotel beautiful sweets and gelato,
Breakfast was good although it could do with more savoury dishes.
Will stay here again when we come back go rome.

Dear Josephine,
good to hear you have a pleasant stay at our Hotel. Our depandance is just rounding the corner of the main entrance. Rooms are very modern and clean. The area permitt us to suggest you a lot of places to eat and drink. Shops on via del Corso or in Via Condotti are a good way to spend an afternoon, or just having a walk in the near Villa Borghese. The main attraction are very close to the hotel and also Vatican museums ar at just 3 stops with metro. Not more than 10 minutes.
Hope to see you again, have a great weekend to you and to all your family!

My family and I stayed at a triple room at the adjacent part of Hotel Condotti for 3 nights in early April (just a few steps from main hotel proper). Excellent location and staff very accommodating. Room was great too - with its own air-conditioning which could be controlled from the room (in contrast to most hotels in Rome that don't have air-conditioning till June). Hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and cafes - although most of them pricey since this is in the touristy area. Breakfast was good value. The only improvement I want to see is more patience from the staff to questions of its tourist guests - especially during busy times when the lobby is full of guests asking questions of various concerns. Internet crashed during one of the nights we were there due to a lot of users - but it was quickly restored by morning. Definitely worth staying again at this hotel.

Dear Friend,

We thank you for the beautiful review.
as well since the position is our strong point, the best tourist attractions in walking distance from ' hotel or easily accessible by subway . our staff is always ready to accommodate our customers by giving them accurate information, and is always ready to receive even suggestions from our customers / friends and to solve problems of any kind. Our motto is " you arrive as guests leave as friends! "
We're glad to have you hosted in our new rooms in our annexe .
How could you see are very well kept and innovations have also depending on the style of the rooms. Our breakfast is very varied, offers both sweet and savory so that we can satisfy the most demanding palate , also many dishes can be prepared at the time by our staff.
Thanks for the encouragement, so no doubt we will continue with reviews of this caliber !
Hope to see you soon,
