“Great location, good value”

Not much to say about the Mondial. It's location is very good if you're coming in/out of Rome at Termini station, and it's in the nicer area close to the station so no personal safety issues in the immediate surroundings. Staff were helpful, rooms were ok and the prices were amongst the best I could find for this level of hotel. All in all, no complaints and very satisfied with the value for money.

I stayed in this hotel in January 2012 and got a good deal on the price which included a generous, copious, if somewhat monotonous, breakfast. The hotel is very well located being close to the main railway station 'Termini' so coming from and leaving for the airport 'Fiumicino' was very convenient. The single room was very small but there was ample closet space and the bathroom was surprisingly big. They charged me for internet use inside the bedroom but their price included a package on the TV too so I didn't feel ripped off. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I would definitely return.

Only in Rome for one night and chose through proximity to rail station...disappointing for a best western. Staff were nice , public areas were well decorated and pleasant...however our room had a patched carpet, cobwebs, dirty skirtings, bathroom from the 60s. Unfortunately we were opposite a late bar so had to keep windows closed to get some shut eye.

Room Tip: Try for front of property ..... Ask to see the room before checking in.

We recently stayed at Hotel Mondial during a family vacation in Italy. We had two rooms. One for ourselves and one for our daughters. Our first stay was for 3 nights in rooms 316 and 317 and the next for one night in room 301.(nicer rooms) and 302Front desk personnel- very nice, helpful, and accomodating. They speak English which is a plus when you speak little to no Italian! They arranged an airport transfer for us and our luggage was held when we arrived because it was too early to check inn. We were able to freshen up and change in the first floor bathroom after a long red eye flight. The rooms were clean, updated however, the air- conditioning did not work very well (room 301 and 302worked much better than 316 and 317). Breakfast was included and was nice selection. The location was great. Walking distance from Termini, Roman Forum, and the Coliseum ,as well as ,other attractions. If you don't feel like walking the front desk will call a taxi and they are not very expensive. Bar has some snacks available during the afternoon free of charge and provided a coffee service for my room just by asking. Great stay at a very nice hotel that is not too expensive. Would definitely stay again and recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms 301 and 302 nice size and AC worked better than the other rooms i had

I booked early and got a web special with this hotel franchise.

The Hotel is AMAZINGLY close to the train/bus/metro Termini station . about 5-10min walk. A 2 minute walk to Metro Republica. The shuttle from the airport drops me right at the bus station which was so convenient. Also the hop on, hop of bus stops right around the corner from the hotel.

There is a bistro and gelato shop at the door step, and for those who can't live with out it, a McDonald's around the corner.

The hotel is clean and well managed. The rooms recently renovated. The complimentary breakfast was worth it. The bed was a little hard, but I was too tired from walking the streets of Rome to really notice.

Wireless Internet was not 100% reliable, and I think it was because I was on a higher floor. You might want to request a lower floor for better service, A lower floor will also give you the option of stairs or elevator.

One note, if you are traveling during non-summer months, and the weather is warm, there is no air conditioning. By this, I mean, they will not turn it on. This was the only thing that annoyed me, but I figure it was another one of their European power saving measures, like place you key in the the wall outlet.

If and when I go back to Rome. They will be high on my list of place to stay.

Room Tip: Wireless Internet was not 100% reliable, and I think it was because I was on a higher floor. You mig...

We did arrive arround midnigth due to aircraft problems, at that time the last fast train had left the airport. But the reception staff did help and arranged pick, very good service. Warm welcome by the friendly and proff staff. Hotel located 8 minuts walk from the central station and in walking distance to most point of interest in Rome. Hotel has an old nearly english stile and a great lounge, our room was a standard room, of a good size, not new but all the time very clean and the room was cleaned every day and the same counts for bathroom, perfect. Very good stairs and the 2 elevators were newly renovaited and work well although small. Several places to dine near by in walking distance. What we could have used was a small garden, bar or cafe in the hotel were we could sit down outside the hotel and enjoy life ! Breakfirst room very small, for Italien stile a good breakfast with eegs and every think, could have used a fresh cooked coffe instead of the machine made, so food ok, but the staff in breakfirst were more interested in your room number and getting the guest out again fairly quickly, here i did not feel to comfetabel. But in general a very nice hotel in a good area and i would stay here again.

We selected the Hotel Mondial based on location and cost and were not disappointed. Staff were excellent, from check-in through complimentary breakfast to check out. The hotel is conveniently located to the train station for traveling from the Rome airport (Fiuminicio International) or to the port of Rome (Civitavecchia). We walked to the Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain from the hotel. There are ATM machines a couple of blocks down the street and a plenty of places to eat around the hotel. It is not an American Hotel, it is European. The rooms are a bit smaller and the beds a little harder, but worth the stay.

Room Tip: Corner rooms seemed a bit larger than rooms in the center of the hotel.
