“Well kept and well located!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

During our trip to Italy this summer, we have used 3 Best Western properties and this was definitely the best one.

The check-in staff were efficient and courteous and the rooms were pleasently larger than what we have been getting the last couple of weeks. We got a room on the 5th floor and the bright carpets and walls indicated that recent renovations had been carried out. The room had all the facilities you may want and the bathroom was very well appointed. The breakfast was of acceptable standards with a reasonably good choice.

The location is very central, just a short walk from the Termini station. So, if you are arriving to the FCO airport, take the Leonardo da Vinci train from the airport to the Roma Termini and then you can simply walk down to the hotel. Later on, to go about, in addition to the Termini startion, bus stops and metro are just around the corner.

The staff were quite helpful. We made an on-line resevation for the Vatican museum and they promptly printed it out for us when I mailed it to them. Also, on the day of check-out, they offered to store our bags for as long as we required.

All in all, a very good experience.

Dear Mr and Mrs AzizDhaka

Thank you so much for your lovely words!
It is so pleasing when it is the clients themselves that notice the recent renovations, the new furniture and all the warmth and hard work we have
accomplished.
Breakfast has become a major necessity and we try to provide a wide variety of choice even for those who need gluten free products.
Thank you once again and arrivederci a Roma.

We had stayed several times before in the Termini area, but this is the best price, with an exceptionally clean, large room. Short walk to the train station with metro connections and local bus lines for all the attractions and historic areas.
The room was up to date with a new renovation and larger than the other hotels rooms that we had used in the area. Would definitely recommend. The only drawback was that there were not many dinner restaurants in the immediate area. You can even earn points for Best Western if you are a member.

In the middle of May, we came to Rome without reservations. After all the others had told us they were booked or wanted outrageous amounts of money, my wife found this Best Western once we got back to the Termini neighborhood. We were trying to avoid anything American while on a trip to Europe, so we were hesitant to try a Best Western.

We shouldn't have hesitated. The shower was the best we had in three weeks of Europe, and the climate controls were nice. It was clean, with a comfortable bed, blackout shades, and a safe. The breakfast was good with a coffee machine that is a barista, fruit, pastries, meat & cheese, etcetera.

The price was very decent, at about €100 a night, but it was more expensive on the week days, and less on weekends. Apparently, being two blocks from Termini station means a lot of business travelers. The day we checked out we left early, and they kept our bags until quite late while we did an all-day tour.

Warm welcome and easy check-in. Staff spoke many languages and were consistently helpful and knowledgeable. There were The hotel was spotlessly clean and the bathrooms looked brand new with great showers and good lighting. For a city centre hotel the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Rooms were spacious and functional. The hotel's location is very good and provides you with easy access to stations, the metro, buses and taxi's Equally you are within walking distance to many places of interest. The area around the hotel is well stocked with restaurants, bars and coffee shops to suit most tastes. It is useful to know that the hotel offers a cab service to and from the airport that avoids negotiations with taxi drivers.

We spent 3 very comfortable nights in this hotel which is just five minutes from the Termini train station (also where the very cheap Terravision bus from Rome airport drops off). The hotel has quite a glamorous entrance and public rooms. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and neat (terrible picture over the bed, but we could live with that). All of the staff were courteous and efficient; they even supplied a proper hairdryer for me rather than the awkward thing stuck on the bathroom wall.

Just one criticism, I am afraid and that is the breakfast. It is served by friendly helpful staff in a pleasant room, but was truly terrible. A boring selection of sugary cereals and tinned fruit salad in syrup. Honestly tinned fruit in Italy, the home of so many wonderful fruits!! Bread selection consisted of rock hard rolls or mean slices of toasting bread. You have to make your own coffee from a vending type machine (a travesty in the country which is home to a good cup of coffee). Perhaps the usual cook was on holiday. They just need to up the style and content on the breakfast to make this an outstanding place to stay.

Room Tip: Go up high on 4th or 5th floor and towards the back because there is an awful lot of traffic noise i...

This hotel is situated in central Rome and is within a comparatively convenient walk to most of Rome's majestic sights. The hotel itself is clean and beautifully decorated in a somewhat baroque style, with the bedrooms plainer and more functional. Staff are most obliging and versed in many languages.Breakfast was a banquet of fresh fruit, pastries and meats along with many other tempting dishes and drinks.

My only two small complaints were that the view from the room was disappointing (but you didn't have to go far to remedy that!) and that we had no bath, only a shower. After hours pounding the streets I would have welcomed a hot bath.

Altogether one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in one of the greatest cities in the world. Fabulous.

the region around Termini train station used to have a bad name, but has improved drastically since I last visited 20 years ago. the region now offers some really good hotels, such as the Hotel Mondial (Best Western). located 5 minutes walking from the train station, in a small street of a main thoroughway. it was surprisingly quiet, although it's probably wise to ask for a room at the back. the staff was friendly and professional, the room and the rest of the hotel very clean. breakfast was very good. our room (we stayed 4 days) had all the necessary comfort, although for an American hotel it was strange to have nothing but Italian channels on tv, and 2 French channels. not even CNN. the hotel is close to a metro stop, and within walking distance of many attractions. we highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back, the front is probably a lot noisier.
