Centrally located by the teatro dell opera di Roma and termini station. Good quality breakfast with an above average restaurant on its left. Staff professional but reserved. Smoking rooms available a plus average intercontinental voyage and jet lag. Have stayed four times here.

Room Tip: Not available through Expedia ...too bad.

The title says it all.

We had stayed one night and here's he summary.

1) staff is amazing. You ask... They deliver. Taxis, airport transfers, money exchange, directions, public transit, food, and entertainment/tour recommendations.

2) location is fantastic. 1 min walk to the subway (metro) which takes you to all the major attractions in the city or very close

Things to expect that might be different for you.

- rooms are dated. Not to the fault of staff. They are not westernized hotels by any means. But they do the trick if you're looking for a simple bed.

- breakfast is the worst thing on the planet. Go to mcdonalds also 1 min walk away. In fact if breakfast was remotely edible, I would have given 5 stars. Didn't bother me for 150 canadian dollars a night. Yogurt and a pastry is all I could manage to eat.

Final comments.

You get a giant room, with a firm bed (not plush)
You get a in room safe (free)
There are only lamps, no lights in the rooms
Staff and service is great!
Remember you're staying at the best western hotel chain not the ritz Carleton.
Skip breakfast have mcdonalds 2 doors down.
Location is terrific!

Thanks for reading my review.

I arrived really late off a train from Florence, so I walked from Termini Station to the hotel with suitcase in tow. The area is quite safe at night and very lively during the day. The location is exceptional in terms of catching city buses to head off sight-seeing. I stayed in a single room which was moderate in size, quiet and clean. The only hassle was that the TV wasn't working, and when I attempted to call reception about it, no-one answered the phone. Finally I went down to the lobby in person, that got some action from the night staff. The main lobby and the breakfast room area are very grand, quite fun really - shades of splendour from the past, before BW took over the property. I'm not sure this hotel merits a 4-star rating, but it the chain is reliable in terms of the standards of service and accomodation offered and the price is very competitive.

Room Tip: Interior facing rooms are more quiet.

This hotel is situated near termini station (ideal if you get lost whilst walking around as all the signs point you toward the station). We arrived on a Friday morning at 11 am. The staff weren't the most welcoming. I asked could we leave our bags in concierge as check in wasn't until three. An elderly man showed us where the room was, I asked him where the bathroom was as I needed to change my clothes before heading to the Vatican he told me I wasn't allowed bring my bag to the bathroom that I could get changed in reception! I was not impressed. Wasting my time complaining as his English was awful.
The room was clean, it had a great shower, free wifi and AC. All great until I woke up covered in bed bug bites. My arms and shoulders were destroyed. I didn't expect 5 start for 400 euro for three nights but I did expect a few nights sleep without insects feeding on me.
The breakfast wasn't great, bland scrambled egg and no fresh fruit-tinned fruit cocktail.
Good location, bad experience. Avoid room 501 and its double camp bed.
The hotel do a taxi service for 48 euro to the airport. Don't pay more then this to or from Ciampino.

Room Tip: Avoid room 501

The best thing about this hotel is: location. Very close to the Termini Station and thus to the airport, but also to the city center and main sightings. If you are feeling frisky, you can easily walk from f.example the Colosseum to the hotel. There are also many shops, supermarkets and restaurants in the area. The rooms are very average, with a very outdated look and sober decoration. It was clean though, and the WiFi was acceptable. The breakfast was nothing special, and it was to much staff in the breakfast room, who was standing up and down looking at us when we were eating.

After visiting 4 other Italian cities, were going to wrap up out Italian vacation in Rome. We spent 6 days at the Hotel Mondial.
You can't beat the location. Termini is only a couple of blocks away and the Republicca Metro station is 1 block away. However, you can actually walk to most of the Rome attractions from the hotel. (As long as you don't mind walking)
Plenty of great restaurants surround the hotel. We ate at many of them and enjoy them.
Front desk experience was good. Agents were helpful. They scheduled out shuttle ride to the airport as well.
The room was spacious and in great condition. Free WIFI is not the strongest but it gets the job done.
The breakfast buffet was good and the breakfast room attendees were very nice.
